To have a Desert focussed Cafe in peckham is a good idea however, this particular Cafe may have opened too prematurely as they still have only one Crepe machine which makes the transition from non-vegan crepes to vegan crepes, very trick as they are cooked on the same maker and the only way it is cleaned is by replacing butter with oil.
The store was opened and offering 50% discounts to selected members which was promised for one week but ended with a day so a lot of us were disappointed and had to battle the management team to get the discount.
The quality of the food was up to standard thanks to Creams organisation however, the service here was incredibly slowly, the staff members all looked lost and puzzled about the orders and kept making mistakes with the toppings and sauces on the set menu.
The milkshakes are like the three bears and goldilocks, one is too watery, one is too thick and the last one is 20 mins late so I better take it or I will be here for ever.
The waffles come with little sauce and the smallest Ice cream scoops.
But I like the design of the shop and the product choice which Creams offer. Just not convinced about this Creams as the ones in Brixton and Norbury are far different here.
You also have to be careful as the gelato section gets a bit manic and the nuts Ice cream can easily be mixed with the non nuts Ice cream which could be nasty for someone with allergies like myself.
I hope they can fix up for next years summer or I will go to Kaspas in...
Read moreIts started well, but unfortunately short lived.
Went back today and unfortunately was not impressed.
Firstly 4 people behind the counter, stood at the "waiting to be seated point" for a good few minutes...no one even noticed I was there until i decided to shout "HiYA"....
Then it got worse..the glasses for water....disgusting...not washed properly with stains finger prints and even lip marks...I asked the tall black guy behind the counter for a pastic cup as I was not happy with the cleanliness of the glass...he abruptly refused... found this rather strange as the white chapel branch happily provide this.
Few moments later we ordered and the a short while later it arrived.
No cutlery so I called across to the same guy and asked him... few seconds later I literally saw it fly over my shoulder.. the guy literally dashed a knife and fork....
Thankfully one of the other staff members noticed and came over with a serviette and apologised on behalf of the employee who was struggling with his customer service skills.
Ultimately the guy clearly does not look like he enjoys serving customers...especially considering the venue was not very busy so there is no "it was busy excuse"....
Put simply he needs to be fired or he will destroy what started as a very friendly and welcoming business.
Today's experience has put me of coming back anytime soon, which is a shame as I thought I would no longer need to travel to Whitechapel for my...
Read moreI went to this place today with my mother, two kids and their mother. We ordered the Oreo waffle and a Sunday.
So the guy first served the waffle which I asked for two more plates so my kids can share. They served them after 10-15 mins then we saw him go to the toilet.
We then waited another 10 minutes and no sign of the Sunday. I went and asked and he clearly did other orders instead of mine. So I said to him when you serve a family we should all been served the same time, as it basically spoilt the experience as the kids eat and we didnât.
Heâs response was âweâre busyâ. So I said at a restaurant do serve just half the table? Is that acceptable you served just the Waffle then went to do other orders knowing we came as a family to eat together? He then realised it obviously was wrong and he said sorry and I made sure I got a refund for the Sunday as even during my complaint they still didnât start the Sunday. By then my kids were finished and we just went. Terrible customer service and no understanding. No...
