I was very disappointed at they the male bar tender/owner treated me after buying a bottle of wine at the bar. After making my payment the lady placed the bottle on the counter and went to serve another person. Infront on the there was 2 empty wine glasses which my cousin told me that they looked dirty so I asked the male bar tendering who was in front of me if he could change it. He now looked at me and raised his voice saying that can you not see they have been used! I then I apologised and told him am sorry I have a sight loss hence why I did not see to please calm down. He then went on to pick up my bottle of wine which I had payed for and told me to leave his bar??? I was very confused, upset and embarrassed and disappointed. I asked him why but then I was advised buy an elder gentleman man name Philip that I should not say anything else because that is how he treats people :/ he then spoke to the female bar tender and over heard her advising him that I have payed for the drink so he then gave me clean wine glasses with no apologise! I did not let that spoil my night but I letter approached him to let him know what he did was nor nice. In all saying all this I am very disappointed at my experience in this bar and it...
Read moreARROGANT AND AGRESSIVE STAFF, POURING OUT DRINKS ALREADY PAYED FOR AND FILMING CUSTOMERS ON THEIR MOBILE PHONE WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!! I had the worst experience of my life the one time I went to Crispins Wine Bar and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT to anyone. I went there after a long day of work with my colleague and bought a bottle of wine. We were standing by the piano at the entrance which had a vase with lots of small flowers on it. After I have taken one of the flowers from the vase the bartender came over, and told me off on a very arrogant tone of voice claming that the flowers belonged to his mother. I apologised and said I had no way of knowing, and if I did, I wouldn’t have taken the flower. Regardless of my apology he took my glass of wine, poured it in the sink and aggressively forced me to leave the wine bar. I told him that I would like my glass of wine WHICH I’VE ALREADY PAYED FOR replaced, but instead he began VIDEOING ME ON HIS PHONE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Absolutely unacceptable behaviour, definitely the worst experience of my life being a customer, and I 100% not making the mistake of going...
Read moreI can’t thank my friend enough for recommending this place. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere — dim lighting, soft chatter, and the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. The wine list is breathtaking — carefully curated, with something for every palate, from crisp, mineral whites to deep, velvety reds that linger long after your glass is empty.
The staff here are true wine lovers — knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely excited to share their favourites. Every recommendation hit the mark, paired beautifully with the small plates (the truffle burrata and charcuterie were divine).
It’s the kind of bar where you lose track of time — a place to unwind, savour, and fall a little bit in love with wine all over again. Whether you’re a casual drinker or a seasoned connoisseur, this is an unmissable spot. Already planning...
