Curry Leaf Carshalton Indian Takeway — Restaurant in London

After persuading my partner to go directly to the restaurant, we checked the website for the menu and saw an offer, 20% off delivery over orders for £20. We rang to order and after saying what we would like ( we rang to ensure a certain ingredient was not on the food ), we asked if the price included the 20% discount. To be told there is no discount unless cash and collect, not delivery. After being passed to a manager, he eventually said they would include a free drink and poppadoms.

After trying to reason with the manager, who insisted there is no discount we put the phone down. With in moments, they called back, and I answered, we used my phone to place the call, giving my partners number as a contact. As soon as I said hello, they hung up with out saying a word and called back on my partners phone

The manager said they agree to the 20% discount and the cost was near £60 with the discount. As soon as we said and that's with the discount, they hung up again.

It's a real shame as I was looking forward to trying them...

Was recommended so thought we’d try for my mums birthday meal. Before I get to the scathing parts let’s start with the good. Phoned up as big order and advised taking little longer to deliver, good communication. Starters lovely, onion bhaji, samosa, even little dips and sauces like the lime pickle, had high hopes. Then the main meal. Pashwari naan good, then it started to go down hill at the main. Coconut rice not so good but ok. Xacuti special, meant to be hot, I’ve had tikka masala that’s hotter, the lamb tut tut, was raw pieces and this honestly had left me feeling a bit sick as I was chewing raw lamb. The cooked bit were ok, but the raw bits, lack of flavour and really no heat or punch was a failure. Special curry leaf balti was ok, but again underwhelming. The peshwari naan luckily helped mop up the sauce and give good flavour but the raw lamb left me feeling sick, maybe psychological but don’t think I can bring myself to order from here again.The 2 stars are for the starters and naan but overall score destroyed by raw meat, lack of flavour...

Love the outstanding food here, collected my most recent meal here Saturday evening, as always it tasted wonderful! Friendly staff, clean premises, very affordable prices which means experimenting with the menu is great fun.I live 10 mins walk away, called and my meal was ready 5 minutes after I arrived on a busy Saturday. I tried Shami Kebab with egg is really lovely, then the consistently amazing chicken dhansak accompanied by pilau rice was really enjoyable. Always a friendly smile, & welcome on entering this takeaway, often I’m ushered out with the owner shaking my hand to an open door! I recommend calling early if collecting as the phones probably busy at peak times.10/10 love it...
