**A Culinary Gem at Hampstead Heath: Dar’s Hampstead** Located just about 200 metres from Hampstead Heath Overground station, Dar’s Hampstead offers a culinary journey into the heart of Indian and Pakistani cuisine, and it’s one you won’t want to miss. With authentic flavors and affordable prices, this spot serves not only food but a whole experience. Our meal started with the Mix Grill, which was nothing short of a feast. This generous platter had an array of delights: tender lamb kebabs, perfectly spiced shish kebabs, succulent chicken wings, juicy lamb chops, and flavorful chicken legs. Each bite was packed with layers of spices, expertly grilled to perfection. The meat was tender with a lovely char on the outside, and every mouthful felt like a celebration of the traditional flavors of South Asia. And while the food alone would have been enough to bring us back, it was the service that truly set Dar’s apart. Miltan, who served us with food, treated us with such warmth and attentiveness that it felt as though we were dining like royalty. He anticipated our needs, made excellent recommendations, and shared stories behind each dish, adding a personal touch that made the experience unforgettable. Dar’s Hampstead is not just a restaurant; it’s a hidden gem for anyone looking to savor authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you feel the warmth, and as you leave, you’re already planning your next visit. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exceptional food and exceptional service.

Not really proper Pakistani food as Chapli kebab too hard and not tangy enough and aloo gosht not quite correct in flavour and tiny potatoes , all portions also very mean and very small, a female staff member was sitting talking so so loudly to a nearby customer throughout our whole meal it ruined the atmosphere completely - not a place for a comfortable meal and minimal seating - poorly managed as staff should not allowed to keep chatting and screaming with laughter the whole way through someone's meal like they are in a pub rather than a restaurant and ruining it for all other customers Not really a good choice tbh Look elsewhere

Clearly a venue geared up for drunken post-pub clientele. The abscence of a food hygiene rating on the door raised my suspicions and sure enough these were confirmed when I looked them up - they score just two out of five! When I asked about having a vegetable side-order, the waiter told me that the best they could do was give me one of their vegetable mains at full price - who pays six quid for a side saag poneer? Decor of a KFC with atmosphere to match. The (small portion) of food was tasty and the service was polite but those were basically its only redeeming features.

A Culinary Journey at Dar's - A Gastronomic Delight

Introduction: Visiting Dar's was like stepping into a world where every dish tells a story. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable dining experience.

The Setting: Dar's doesn't just serve food; it crafts an experience. The decor, reminiscent of Punjabi paintings, immediately transports you to a place where dining is an event. The staff, with their impeccable service, adds to the charm, making you feel like a guest in a friend's upscale eatery.

The Food: Presentation: Each dish at Dar's is a visual feast. The kemma aloo matar (Lamb mince with potatoes and garden peas arrives at the table like a piece of art, with colors and arrangements that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate.

Taste and Texture: The food at Dar's is where the magic happens. For instance, the spring lamb offers a symphony of flavors - the tenderness of the meat paired with a sauce that balances sweetness with a hint of spice. The texture, often described in posts as "crisp on the outside, tender inside," exemplifies the kitchen's mastery over cooking techniques.

Innovation: Dar's menu reflects a thoughtful blend of traditional recipes with modern twists. The chicken kebab was particularly noteworthy, showcasing the chef's creativity without losing the essence of the dish's origins.

Value for Money: Given the quality of ingredients, the presentation, and the overall experience, Dar's pricing feels justified. It's not just a meal; it's an investment in a memorable dining experience.

Service: The service at Dar's is seamless. From the moment you're greeted at the door to the final wave goodbye, the staff's attention to detail ensures you feel valued. Their knowledge about the menu helps in navigating choices, especially for first-time visitors.

Ambiance: The atmosphere at Dar's is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for both intimate dinners and celebratory gatherings. The background music, the lighting, and even the table settings contribute to an ambiance that enhances the dining experience.

Conclusion: Dar's isn't just about eating; it's about experiencing food in its most delightful form. Whether it's for the culinary adventure, the impeccable service, or the inviting ambiance, Dar's stands out as a must-visit for anyone in the area. The food, a blend of tradition and innovation, leaves you not just satisfied but inspired.

Rating: 10/10

Recommendation: If you're looking for where to spend your next dining out experience, let Dar's be your destination. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey worth taking.

🌟 A Big Thank You! 🌟

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ali, the owner, and the entire staff, especially Milton, for their incredible hospitality. Your warmth and kindness made my experience truly memorable. Thank you for everything!

Been going to this restaurant for years. This is the only Pakistani restaurant that I would go to. I travel all the way from East London as this restaurant consistently provides tasty food at reasonable prices.

I love their large mixed grill, their chicken shish and lamb sheesh are so tender. The chicken and lamb sheekh kebabs are delicious. Their keema parathas are Devine. For the mains I love their spring lamb curry on the bone, their Tarak Dhaal and butter chicken their butter chicken is not like the rubbish you get in other restaurants, so some might think it’s not proper butter chicken but let me tell, you it taste good. I have never had a bad dish in Dar’s restaurant.

Please ignore the the low star comments, I believe that’s their competitors family and friends leaving negative comments, to steal their business.

My only gripe would be in the past the keema parathas needed more keema in it, but that has been rectified and the keema parathas i had yesterday were full of keema and flavour.

To the waiter Milton. You’re awesome and an asset to the restaurant. Both Ali and Maj you guys never fail to deliver on quality and service, so thank you.

Thank you for accommodating my family in the past with our large gatherings and being very respectful to my autistic nephew even when he became loud and boisterous, Ali and Maj you guys dealt with him, like he was your own child and the love and care you showed him, to make him comfortable was amazing and you guys didn’t moan once. You guys are a credit to the industry.

Thank...
