I'm so upset writing this. I'm so tired of writing bad reviews. Not only do I not enjoy it, I very much actively dislike it. Not just because i don't like wasting money, but I love food and food culture. Growing up I don't remember food being this bad in general. I feel like I was mostly happy with good fair priced flavourful food. We ordered the chicken yakisoba and a salmon nigiri (scorched). The nigiri was good enough, nice burnt edge but £2.50 for one piece is wild but hey ho. The yakisoba however.... so utterly disappointing. It was so bland, this soft textureless noodle with a brown watery sauce swimming at the bottom, dotted with dry chicken. Have been to Japan, this is not even close to authentic. I've uploaded two pictures, the first is what I got and the second is the dish after I added flavour to it - dark soy sauce, sesame seeds and a splash of lemon juice to lift the blandness. The reason I'm giving it two is because it's halal and because I always feel bad for leaving bad reviews anyway unless the service is actively bad or something. Luckily it was buy one get one free so 2 for £12.50, but even then at £6.25 each it still felt like a rip off. It's a shame, feels like 90% of restaurants aren't good. What if everytime I order food or eat out, I am hypnotised and the hypnotist just tells me to imagine I ate food, and then I am awakened and the whole ordeal was a figment of my imagination. I'd think it true if I didn't...

Mitsuryu is a fairly new addition to the area, with another location in Boxpark Wembly. The menu includes mains such as chicken katsu curry, sushi, handrolls, sashimi and deserts including matcha mille crepe cake.

Ordered the spicy tuna roll for takeaway from Mitsuryu and was impressed by the taste and freshness. The spicy tuna had kick, the avocado and cucumber was fresh, the spicy mayo and sweet soy sauce were not overpowering. Finally there was a lot of crunchy onions on top of the rolls.

At £9.00 for six pieces it is good value for the area considering there are three significantly more expensive sushi restaurants in Hampstead. The order took 10 minutes to fulfill and included chopsticks, whasabi and soy.

Opening hours are 11am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. If you are in the area and craving sushi give...

The food is tasty and beautiful, but sometimes too savoury. The service is bad - after waiting for the waiter after the meal, we had to call them to pay, there is also an automatic service charge on the bill, which we asked to remove - they asked what was wrong with the service, but they removed it with a dissatisfied face. In principle, we do not pay the optional service charge, but this was not a good reason for them (we hate it when restaurants include a service charge in the check without asking customers, especially when the service is not very good). After this, the employee was unhappy and discussed something with another employee. The employee was rude and didn't even...
