We were wandering down Carnaby St looking for somewhere to eat when we spotted the street Dehesa is on..we could have eaten in any of several restaurants, but Dehesa caught our eye.

We had several Tapas plates and all were lovely. Three of us were dining. We arrived at about 5pm without booking and told we could have a table until 7.45 which was more than enough.

The Tempura Broccoli was incredible. Lovely and crunchy with a lovely honey dressing. I'd eat this for breakfast it's that good!

The Croquetas with Ham and Cheese were lovely. Just what you'd expect. A nice piquancy to the cheese and crunch of ham.

The Patatas Bravas had a lovely spiciness, and were nice and big cubes that were decent and crisp. The Aioli was very good.

The Chorizo and Black Bean Stew was very good, nice level of spicing.

The Rob Eye Steak was cooked perfectly and so tender.

The Pan fried Bream with broccoli was fantastic. Lovely crispy skin, beautiful fish.

For Dessert we had Churros, Crema Catalana and the Donuts with Lemon Ricotta Cream.

The Churros were great, though a slightly thicker sauce would be preferred. Nit picking!

The Crema Catalana was lovely and creamy, as expected.

The Donuts were spectacular. Crisp, doughy, warm, sugary and indulgent. The Lemon Ricotta Cream, wow, that was incredible and a real highlight. One of the best desserts I've had in years.

Nice wine list, lots of fresh cold water offered.

Our server was very attentive, service was in hurried which allowed us to enjoy our meal and conversation without feeling interrupted.

I see this place has some poor reviews. I'm hard to please, and tend not to review a place if I don't like it. This place was surprisingly good given it's location in a tourist hot spot....

Set in one of my favourite areas of London, Dehesa is nestled on the corner of a very busy street off Kingly Court and is perfect for people watching, the ideal hobby to accompany slowing grazing on some delicious tapas and sipping wine.

Billed as a mix of Spanish and Italian tapas, I knew this place would be right up my street and it did not disappoint. Small plates dining has really taken off and I love being able to sample several different dishes which come out the kitchen as and when they are ready.

I opted for the restaurants famous goats cheese stuffed courgette blossom drizzled with honey. Every element of the dish worked really well and the honey had a delicious flavour. Next up the steamed mussels with courgette, black pepper and butter sauce. I was a little cautious of the sauce, not knowing how it would work with the mussels but the savouriness of the black pepper really worked with the sweet mussels and I found myself eating the remaining sauce off the plate once I had polished off the mussels. Onto the slow cooked pork belly with rosemary scented cannelini beans, also known as the best beans I have every tasted. These were so creamy and delicious. Still feeling like something else after this I added on the prawns with a rice dish cooked in sherry. With three large prawns I felt this dish, like the others was fairly generous in proportions. It's definitely not the cheapest tapas around but the flavours and thought that goes into each dish means it's definitely...

MEDITERRANEAN TAPAS HEAVEN 📍 Soho, London ⭐️ 5/5 💸 ££ 🍴 As a Barcelona girl, I have high standards when it comes to #tapas, and @dehesasoho totally delivered! Hidden in the heart of #Soho, this cosy, stylish spot (part of the @saltyardrestaurants) blends #Spanish and #Italian flavours with serious finesse. The vibe is intimate and modern, perfect for date night or a relaxed dinner with friends 💜 We went for the Head Chef’s Tasting #Menu and were impressed by every single bite. Highlights for me: 🖤 Valencian #arroz negro with Cornish cod and wild garlic aioli – intense, comforting and full of flavour 🌶️ Classic blistered #padrón peppers – simple and perfect 🍅 Creamy Puglian #burrata with beef tomato and sundried tomato pesto – light but indulgent 🍋 And for dessert: #Pistachio & white chocolate buñuelos with whipped lemon ricotta = a dreamy finish. Also, shoutout to the amazing service! Our three waiters were super sweet and even gave us takeaway bags so we didn’t waste a single bite. Dehesa felt like a little taste of home, I’ll definitely be...

My friend and I had a lovely meal here on a very hot (I know, rare) Friday evening in July 2024. My friend arrived around 30mins before me and managed to secure a table outside for us both without having booked. Before I arrived my friend had ordered flatbread to keep her going and a glass of Sangria. The sangria was so good we had two each. Service was good but a little slow but it was very busy so maybe they needed an extra server? We asked for our prawns twice after we had finished everything else and sat and waited before asking but absolutely worth the wait. The server had suggested bread with the prawns which was a good shout as it was lovely to dip in the sauce. 4 x Sangria = £48 1 x Padron Peppers = £6.50 2 x Flatbread = £11 1 x Patatas Bravas = £6.50 1 x Chicken = £9.50 1 x Courgette Flower = £8.50 1 x Burrata = £12 1 x Prawns = £13 1 x Doughnut = £7.50 12.5% service = £15.31 Total = £137.81 Yes, there was only two of us, we were hungry 😅 and I didn’t get a photo of everything as we were too busy chatting. Enjoy!
