London | A £14 Steak That Smells So Good 🥹 The Best Value for Money

Out of complete coincidence my partner and I both needed to travel to London for work on our anniversary. We’d both heard good things about Flat Iron and wanted to have our anniversary dinner there. When I tried to book online to my despair all of the bookings were taken and we didn’t want to risk a long wait (in the end they were seating people after half an hour and used a system where you didn’t have to keep your spot in line!). I emailed and their response time was excellent and in the end they kindly agreed to give us a reservation. The day of we received a message to confirm. I was really impressed with this level of service. When we arrive to the restaurant we were promptly taken to the only table for two, it being such a small place and our anniversary we were really pleased about this. We were immediately given a jug of water and beef dripping popcorn which was absolutely delicious! All of the staff were absolutely lovely - attentive, friendly and accommodating! We were even given some wine for our anniversary which we greatly appreciated making our night feel a little more special (we even took a photo of the bottle because we enjoyed it so much). We ordered a steak each with dipping sauce and the garlic mash and creamed spinach… it was all very good! The cherry on top was the cute little token for a complimentary vanilla ice cream given to you on the way out which we ate as we strolled back to our hotel. Overall a really great dining experience that I would recommend to everyone! A big thank you to the staff at SoHo Flat Iron last night :)

Visited with my lady prior to a West End show. Having visited the Waterloo Flat Iron, I knew what was coming. She had not been previously and was eager to see what the fuss was about. I had been looking forward to this meal all week and I wasn't disappointed. A warm welcome upon arrival, and we were swiftly lead upstairs to a quiet seating area. We had the room to ourselves. •Complimentary Beef Dripping popcorn •2 steaks •Fries each •Peppercorn sauce •Creamed Spinach •Roasted Aubergine •Complimentary ice cream to finish. A fantastic meal, every bite was a symphony of flavour and texture. It was a wonderful meal wherein every bite and aroma was delicious. I would merrily recommend Flat Iron and we look forward to my next visit. Visited again! 8/5/23 with my girlfriend Bank Holiday Monday after Kings Coronation. •Complimentary popcorn •2 F1 English Wagyu steaks •Fries each •Peppercorn sauce •Creamed Spinach •Roasted bone marrow garlic mash *(EXTRAORDINARY)* •Complimentary ice cream to finish Another fantastic meal shared with my lady. The mash was an especially delicious side dish. Luckily, it is on the menu full time, not just as a special. The Wagyu steaks on the specials menu were sublime. A wonderful experience as always, nice staff, trendy interior and smashing grub. Not withstanding a free ice cream afterwards.

Flat Iron Soho is a standout spot if you’re in the mood for a simple yet exceptional steak experience. The restaurant’s focus is straightforward: high-quality flat iron steak, perfectly cooked and beautifully served. Each meal arrives with a complimentary side salad and an array of mouthwatering sauces to enhance your steak, though the meat itself is so tender and flavorful that it truly shines on its own.

The atmosphere is casual yet chic, creating an inviting setting that manages to feel both lively and relaxed. There’s a sense of warmth and energy, complemented by attentive and genuinely friendly service.

A special shout-out goes to Marika, our server, who truly enhanced our dining experience. Marika was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure everything was to our liking. Her recommendations on sauces and sides were spot-on, and her personable approach made us feel like valued guests. Her professionalism combined with her warm demeanor was impressive and added a personal touch to an already great evening.

Overall, Flat Iron Soho delivers exceptional value for a steakhouse in central London, with high-quality food and an unforgettable dining experience, thanks in no small part to their dedicated staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great steak dinner in a comfortable,...

The place is very tight and can barely move. We order:

Wagyu Picanha steak £ 23 Triple Cheese Truffle Burger £ 14 Truffled Mac & Cheese

We informed the waiter to cook the Wagyu steak medium well, but it came well done, which was not so juicy and didn't taste like Wagyu.

The burger came with so much pickles, which was not stated in the menu and in my opinion ruined the meat taste. Also, you can feel the brioche bread taste more than the meat, so this burger overall did not give you the taste of a burger, just bread and pickle dominated sauce.

Mac & Cheese was one of the worst, as it was full of cream and the pasta was less portion.

The biggest ripoff in this restaurant is that they charge you a 12.5% additional amount on the bill which they call "Opt Service Charge". This is apparently optional (not a must to pay), but they put it on the bill without informing you, waiting for you to pay it. I was able to pick this up and highlight this to them, then they said oh this is optional, no problem we will pay it back. So be careful not to be ripped off by this, because optional must be informed to you before they put in on the bill, not including it without your permission. I also discovered they charge us additional amounts as "Optional Donation". Be care from this ripoff!

In summary, we will never go back to this...
