I was very disappointed with the quality of food sold to me today, I expected fresh food, instead I got food that tasted as if it was cooked days ago. The fritters were hard and chewy, I tried eating but it hurt my gums, it was just too hard and chewy to eat; I had no choice but to throw them away. The fried dumpling with callaloo and salt fish, had hardly any filling and I didn’t taste the salt fish. The dumpling was nothing more than that, because the filling was very little, all I tasted was dumpling, and the little amount of callaloo had no taste, very disappointing. I will never buy from Dellys again, I feel they just didn’t care what they sold to me. they must ensure that when they sell food it is fresh and eatable, and portions such as the callaloo and saltfish stuffed in a dumpling, to be of the right ratio, that way one can truly enjoy what they bought. All I want is a good service, after all I paid for it, meaning for the food to be fresh, not to be hard, chewy, oldy and dried out; The customer deserves a good service and should rightly receive it. Good service meaning making sure the customer receives fresh , eatable food that is edible. The picture of the fritter, may not show it to be hard, but it is seriously hard and very...
Read moreTOTAL RIP OFF! I ordered my food via uber eats. I waited nearly an hour for my food and paid £4.50 for mac and cheese. Even though mac and cheese was clearly printed on my receipt what I received was a cold slab of mash potatoes. When I immediately called the shop to rectifity what appeared to be a delibrate mistake the phone was constantly busy. I eventually spoke to a woman who initially denied that they had mashed potatoes on the menu that day, but she ended up apologising for the 'mistake,' and suggested I request a refund on that item. However, that does not demish my overwhelming disapointment with the service and the quality of the food.. To top it off after spending so much money on the food I was given a bottle of water rather than a proper drink to accompany my order. Sadly Caribbean restaurants have for years had a bad reputation and from my experience I can see why. They have to do better! This experience has left me feeling completely ripped off and totally let down especially as I deliberately try to support black...
Read moreI popped in late on Friday. To buy a large meal to share with my daughter I was told oxtail was available. All was going well. After it was warmed and I had payed my £8. I.mentioned that I didnt like bones. I wasnt offered salad or coleslaw. I was assured by the sales person that the cling film wrapping would not uncover that. Alas Nice rice with 11 plus sharp bones and a sweet sauce. I just feel conned
The meat didn't quite fill 2 table spoons . You want to support Your own People but not for these practices. This was a blatant rip off. I'm the Grandson of Christopher Braithwaite a civil rights leader. Who wrlcomed Haille Sellasie to London I write and promote conscious black books and I will never stop doing that and keeping it ethical. We dont need to sell cheap rice and salty bones to anyone. Thats all You will get back. Im not going to this shop again. Very horrible experience and insulting because I asked not to be...
