I had an absolutely wonderful experience at DNA Café Bar! The highlight of my visit was their French toast – beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The toast was perfectly fluffy and topped with an assortment of fresh fruits like strawberries, bananas, blueberries, and raspberries, accompanied by a delightful berry compote and a sprinkle of almonds. Each bite was a burst of flavors and textures, making it one of the best French toasts I’ve ever had!

The atmosphere of the café was equally impressive, with a cozy yet modern vibe, and to top it off, they are incredibly dog-friendly! My little Maltese, Honey, was welcomed warmly by the staff and enjoyed her time exploring the charming interior. The café’s openness to pets made the experience even more special, especially for dog owners like me who appreciate places that go the extra mile to make our furry friends feel at home.

DNA Café Bar is definitely a gem – great food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment for both humans and dogs. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable...

I had the salmon bagel and the vegan breakfast, both were very tasty. The coffee was excellent too. The woman at the till was really warm and welcoming; I really liked her energy.

One small piece of feedback: the vegan breakfast came with toast that had a chunks of butter spread inside and a very intense taste. I wasn’t expecting that, since it was a vegan plate. When I asked, the staff let me know it was vegan butter, which is totally fine, but I think it would be helpful to mention that on the menu. Some people, like me, avoid butter altogether, not for dietary reasons but just because of the taste, so it’s good to give customers the option to skip it.

To their credit, the man who served me was really accommodating and offered to replace the toast. I didn’t take him up on it because I was already full, but I appreciated how well it was handled.

Overall, a...

Stumbled upon DNA Café while in Dalston for a business trip, and I’m so glad I did. I ended up going back every single day for my morning coffee — it’s honestly some of the best I’ve had so far. Smooth, rich, and consistently perfect.

The food is just as good. The French toast is absolutely delicious, and the eggs — whether on toast or in other forms — are spot on. The croissants were decent, though I’ll admit I’m a bit spoilt after spending time in Paris, so my bar is high!

What really sets this place apart, though, are the owners. Incredibly warm and genuinely attentive — they remembered my order and even offered a complimentary cookie one day, which was such a thoughtful touch. That kind of hospitality makes all the difference.

Definitely a gem in Dalston. Highly recommend if you’re...
