Ordered for delivery at 12.45. Was quoted half hour for delivery. Waited 45 minutes so called to find out where it was and was told it would be another 5 minutes. Bear in mind I could hear the female member of staff telling her colleagues she couldn't find my order on the other side of the phone. Was reassured order would be with me in 5 minutes. Waited another 20 minutes and still no delivery so called up AGAIN and this time asked for refund and was told oh no we don't do that. So you quote half hour but I wait over an hour and you can take my money out my account but can't refund me when it doesn't arrive on time and not once had an apology. I called another 4 times and after explaining my situation and then asking to speak to a manager, was told to wait and put on hold and then cut off. Order FINALLY arrived at 3.12pm. I ordered at 1.38pm. Pizza was not even hot so i called again and yet again asked for a manager to be told there wasn't one till after 4pm. So i called back at 4.20pm and talked to the rudest member of staff called Katherine Kumar who rather than listen to me and my situation insisted on talking over me the entire time and calling me a liar when I said the food wasn't hot. Katherine and rest of Elephant and Castle Dominos staff: Don't quote someone half hour delivery time if it is busy and you know it will take longer. If it is busy then just tell the customer it is busy when ordering. If you haven't made the order don't quote 5 minutes if you haven't even made the order yet. If someone has to call over 5 times and 4 of those times gets hung up on or put on hold without an apology clearly something is wrong and you should be apologising if someone isn't satisfied with the service 100%. Your management staff should not be calling your customers liars and shouting over them. If i do not get a refund I will be taking it higher. This type of service is...
Read moreWe had a pizza takeaway from Domino's, since they've started making vegan pizzas and we wanted to try them.
We had a deal for 2 pizzas plus a side, which was cheaper than most of our takeaways. The driver took a while to show up, but he said he couldn't find the address. For a free delivery, I won't complain. The potato wedges were not very well cooked so they were a bit hard. Domino's has launched two vegan pizzas: a Margherita and a Vegi Supreme pizza, so we ordered both. I had missed the dough from Domino's. I know that some people like pizza bases thin and crispy, but I also like a classic American base. The mozzarella was okayish, on the stick-on-your-teeth vegan cheese side. There are better vegan mozzarellas and we're witnesses of that, so I would say, Domino's, step up. The toppings for the Margherita were basic, but that's what that pizza is: tomato and cheese. And the Vegi Supreme had too many ingredients. It's funny how they always think: vegans, let's put ALL the veggies we have in the kitchen and they'll be happy. Peppers? No, thanks. I liked it, but I do miss a BBQ Domino's pizza. They don't even need to put meat replacements. With jackfruit and whatever else vegetable would be fine.
In summary, happy with the pizzas for the price you're paying, very filling and very good price for the deal, but it would be great if they could offer more variety of vegan pizzas. They also need to work on getting a better vegan mozzarella. We would order again, but we want to try other vegan pizza chains before we go back...
Read moreI ordered 2 pizzas and waited 30 minutes after the online tracking said out for delivery. When I decided to call the store I was greeted with a hostile woman who assured me that my pizza would arrive in 10-15 minutes (over an hour after I had originally ordered it). I barely had a chance to react before the woman (who hadn't apologised for the inconvenience or bothered listen to any qualms I had about this) hung up on me without a word. I called back half an hour later and was assured that the woman would have never hung up on me. She asked "What's your door?" which I, after much confusion, understood as her asking for my address. She then said that she would speak to the driver and then call me back. 10 minutes after this the driver called and was there with the pizza. He was also carrying a pizza for someone else in my building and when I asked why it took so long he only managed to utter "is this your pizza?". I brought the pizza in to my residence and when I opened up the pizza box I was disheartened, but not surprised, when it was a lukewarm pizza that felt like it had been waiting on a counter for a very long time. I normally enjoy dominos pizza, but this experience has severely put me off ordering from the E&C dominos for quite a while. I can only hope the staff read this and realise what a terrible experience I've had, but I doubt this will happen as the employees don't seem to grasp the concept of...
