My husband, young son (2 years old) and I lived at Uncle E&C and we absolutely loved it! We had a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom flat on the 40th floor with a view on South West London. We could watch the sun rise from our bedroom every morning, and the sun set from the balcony every evening, until it got too far east this summer and we could only see the reflection. We had friends coming over and saying, “Why would I want to pay to go up to the Shard if I come over to you and see all of London from your window?” The flat was fitted out with top-of-the-line appliances and furniture and made day-to-day living a true pleasure. We also enjoyed the sky lounge space on the 45th floor - my husband especially as he is often working from home, and our toddler loved going up there for a few laps with his toy cars. And we could order food and have nights in with friends on the 45th, which is a great plus if you have a young family and don't feel like going out but would love to retain some social life! All of the staff at reception are amazing and it was a pleasure to come back home and see Farid or Paul smile and ask how our day was. The building management team is also terrific – they are responsive, helpful, and friendly. Thanks to this great team – Fola, Kerry, Anna, Kevin, and everyone else – we loved calling Uncle home. There's also a great playground just outside where we spent many hours with our son, plus lots of shops and stores including a great pizzeria with a real food-fire oven right around the corner. We moved out because our family is growing but will surely miss Uncle with its amazing views and the nice feeling of coming back home after a long day!

As a delivery driver, I recently attempted to deliver a 5kg Amazon parcel to a resident who clearly instructed it be left at reception. Upon arrival, the receptionist refused to accept the parcel, stating he does not take anything above 8kg — even though the parcel was under that limit and he had a trolley available. He then insisted I take it upstairs myself. What’s worse, within the same few minutes, three other delivery drivers (DPD) entered with significantly larger parcels, and he accepted those without issue. The double standard was obvious and completely unprofessional. As Amazon drivers, we do not have the luxury of parking spaces at every location — we face potential fines, delays, and safety risks, especially when denied basic reception support. To add to the frustration, the receptionist’s attitude was dismissive and lacking in basic manners or courtesy. If you’re in a customer-facing role, especially in reception, providing consistent, respectful, and fair service is a bare minimum requirement. This experience was not only inconvenient but highlighted a clear lack of professionalism. Management should seriously reconsider how their staff treats people doing their job properly.

UNCLE Elephant and Castle is the best rental I've ever had. The facilities are incredible (the view from the Sky Lounge has to be seen to be believed), whenever I've had maintenance requests they have been sorted quickly and effectively, and the rooms and furnishings are top notch. Best of all though are the staff - Anna, Jam and Paul deserve special mention for always bending over backwards to help, way beyond their job descriptions. I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend UNCLE to others!

Stay away from the misleading advertisement, they basically bring your attention on the amazing views, gym facility and friendly team to hide many issues they are incapable to fix (or simply don’t want to really fix)

Unfortunately I was drawn by their misleading advertisement and after 6 years where I lived in a flat managed with very high standard in Soho I decided to move in uncle building E&C.

It’s been 6 months now and I have to say is a terrible experience, I do regret that I moved here. started badly and not improved over time. The underfloor heating has never worked and I had to buy a Dyson heater (even though they refunded with an Amazon voucher after I complained with building management), the bath shower still has a water leak and they has never capable to resolve (basically they has one handyman who is asked to to whatever but don’t have any specialised worker ) I l’ve had countless handyman around basically almost every other days who only wasted my time, never fixed the problem, and after 6 month the manager Jam, with a provocative attitude said: these are our “high standards “ defiantly! (basically a screen bath leaking is normal and acceptable).

High standard for which I paid for, means solve the problem in a timely manner, and if not possible repair just change the faulty thing with a new one, does not mean leave the tenant with the same problem for months waiting the end of the tenancy.

Basically they really don’t value tenants who take care of the property, they are not focused on make money and don’t care at all about managing or repair, I really think that is something they the landlord should be made aware.

Not to mention the terrible noises you’ll discover in the windy days, the entire building wall, ceiling crackle all the time making really hard to sleep, and even that is “normal according to their standards).

Attached how I found the flat when I stepped in first time, even a french fries under the kitchen, the situation of the bath after 6 months, and the final mail where the supervisor claim that what you see in the pic is normal and acceptable. Pay attention and look around, you’ll find better and for a reasonable price, uncle building E&C is simply overrated, just a...
