Atmosphere was a tekky lil step as 4 Plymouth away fans (Visiting the hair shops across the street) where in there using the amenities! One of which was popular YouTuber and fitness influencer Pieface! The staff behind the counter were slow and kinda emo looking. A lady with a Wolf cut came out of the toilet after 45 minutes and we had to evacuate causing the oven to be left on and back door was left unlocked causing wolf cut girl to make a swift escape like her brother to Panama. The old geezer there was kinda rude to me as he said I have 11 toes due to my Norwich background (which is true). I’m not sure how he found out! Overall a great experience. Here’s a poem I wrote

In a coffee shop, where the aroma should be sweet, There's a place that's got a funky beat. Plymouth supporters gather, they're ready to cheer, But this coffee shop, my friend, it's not so clear.

Bad coffee, bad smell, it's a terrible scene, Plymouth fans in the mix, causing a caffeine fiend. And there's a girl with a wolf cut, she's got her own style, But when she used the toilet, it was just too vile.

The coffee's bitter, the atmosphere's off, But the Plymouth fans stay strong, they never scoff. And that girl with the wolf cut, she's got her own flair, But that smell she left behind, man, it's hard to bear.

Maybe it's time for a new coffee spot, Somewhere fresh and clean, where the smell's not so hot. But until then, we'll make the best of this place, With Plymouth fans and a wolf cut girl's grace.

Imagine a guy who see’s Peckham as a bunch of stupid hipsters who would go to a sloppy, disheveled cafe and think “oh cute, this is so shabby chic”. That’s exactly what the owner of this place has done.

For starters, the place is a mess, it’s not clean and there’s junk lying around everywhere. Furthermore, the owner runs some sort of 2 bit vintage shop at the back and there’s flies all around the food. It’s always a gamble whether you’re going to get anything to eat. There’s a menu board, which looks as though it was written when they first opened and since then they’ve sacked it off and just serve whatever they have. The staff seem nice but they’re never the same people (always a bad sign). This makes it no surprise that when you ask them about what they have to eat they hardly know what it is they’re serving. If you have any dietary requirements, don’t expect the staff or even the owner (especially) to have a clue. Like it or not, if you own a cafe in Peckham in 2024, you need to understand what’s vegan or gluten free. Finally the owner just has weird vibes, he’s kinda rude to his staff and just dosses around on his phone, getting involved when he can be bothered. One positive thing I’d say is at least you can spend the entire day on your laptop and no one will kick you out. That said, the electrical sockets have a warning on them which seems pretty sketchy if you need to...

This used to be my favourite coffee spot in Peckham. Casual, never too busy, not too pretentious. Good coffee and yummy pastries, homemade soups. The cardamon bun was a fave. I would take all my friends and visitors as I loved it! The outside space is cute and it overall did a great long black.

HOWEVER… went last weekend and a few weeks before this and I could not believe how awful the coffee was. You could see through it , like dishwater . I was told I could order a long black if I wanted a shorter black coffee. However it came next to an americano of completely the same size. I questioned the size and the awful look of the coffee. No crema in sight! The coffee guy responded with such rudeness despite me trying to be fair and kind about the situation.

I know the coffee can be good here and I’ve had some great interactions with staff here but what the hell has happened in the last year?!
