Eden's Cottage — Restaurant in London

Solid all-rounder. Hits the spot! My order: Chicken Fillet Burger Meal + 4x wings. Price: £4.49 The Burger: Smaller than I had anticipated. The fillet was quite thin as well. The breading was still quite crisp and seasoned well. I do prefer my fillet burgers a bit more chunkier, and the meat was not steaming hot. Nevertheless, these are just gripes based on my personal preferences - absolutely no qualms about the taste. A decent burger, does the job. Wings dem: Good size and quality throughout. Breading was crisp and nicely flavoured - not over fried either. The wings steal the show easily. Chips: Really nice. Crisp coating and perfectly fried; with still a good amount of potato fluffiness on the inside. Rather than just being a mediocre obligatory accompaniment - the chips were an enjoyable part of the meal. Location: Great - just a hop, skip and jump away from Finsbury Park station. Overall - in terms of price and quality, Eden's Cottage is a good all-rounder that will leave you satiated - and your pockets still jingling with loose change. IMO - I would go for the strip burger deal rather than the fillet burger (Sam's does a better fillet burger). Whatever you do, do not leave the joint without having some wings. Decided to eat here as I was in the area and recommended to try it. I’ve been here before but it was years ago and the food was good at the time.

Unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in any chicken shop. All the unused tables were very dirty, with eaten chicken wastage left on the table, greasy oil, dirty issues etc.

The customer service was absolutely disgusting!! I asked one of the staff members if they could clean the table and they just gave so much attitude, like they were doing me a favour.

The ordering system is a joke. They have an electronic ordering system, which doesn’t work properly, so you have to constantly ask the staff to help. The worst part is, you have to order through the machine but have to pay at the counter, no logic whatsoever.

Waited almost 20 mins for a chicken fillet burger meal. The burger itself was piping hot but the bun construction disintegrated upon picking up due to a really hot chicken fillet burger and cold bun. The price to quality ratio was poor. They lacked any sauces, presentation of the burger wasn’t the greatest.

Also, what’s the point of being a chicken shop if you don’t even have sauces!!!

The shop had air con but it wasn’t put on. Shop was baking, seating was poor. I’d recommended staying away...

I have been supporting Edens cottage ever since they had started up the business back in 2015 which now in 2023 I have a very good relationship with the workers until they had added a new employee which we will call "the masked man" He is useless and very rude worker. He doesn't understand basic instructions. It takes him a very long time to process the order that i give, there would be some ocassions where he would take so long that another collegue would have to step in to help him prepare a simple order as he is too busy staring into space. He also wants to charge the people of the community for a pot of sauce which i find utterly out of order as a respected pillar of the islington community I also have a good relationship with the manager and other workers . He doesn’t give me a good or welcoming experience at Edens. Respect to all other workers as are very fast and efficient with their order as a fast food business should be. If this continues customers will not hesitate to walk down the street to the several other chicken shops within the area as they all do not charge for sauce @edenscottage stop making money out of the necessities we need for our fries.
