24 sept. 2025 It´s always a joy to dine at Primos Mexican Cantina in Finsbury Park. Even early on a midweek night in a near empty restaurant, the warm, uplifting, atmosphere provided by the latino music soundtrack, colourful decoration, and the excellent service provided by Vamshi and Gautham makes the meal feel special. Plus the food is fabulous. The prawn corn quesadillas are delicious, the portions generous with lots of prawns, the flavours fresh, and sensation sizzling. Thanks to all involved. 23 november 2023 I adore going to Primos Mexican Cantina, Finsbury Park. it´s one of those restaurant than seems to get better on every visit and I always leave amazed that I don´t eat there every week! The welcome is nearly as warming as the spicy salsa, great staff, fabulous fajitas, generous portions and ace value. What more could one want on a chilly night. Thanks a million, love Catherine

april 2023 Fresh flavours that explode in the mouth, warming both the stomach (that will be the delicious spices!) and the heart (that will be down to the care and generosity with which all the food is prepared and presented and the incredibly friendly and efficient service!) all adding up to the perfect Sunday destination. AVOID AVOID AVOID The lemonades and bottle of beer were the only items on the menu worth paying for, everything else was dire. Specifically:

-The smokey chilli dip tasted like eating the contents of an old ashtray. Totally inedible. When I complained, staff told me the other patrons liked it, so I got up and asked the table of 9 next to us. They didn't like it either.

-The chicken tacos were completely dry. No guacamole, sour cream, pickles or salsa. Just dry shredded white meat that was largely flavourless

-The "birria tacos" were not what birria tacos are supposed to be. They were oily deep fried tortillas filled with flavourless beef and cheap cheddar that added to the greasiness of the dish. The birria "gravy" for dipping tasted like a diluted stock cube.

-The pork tacos again had no additional toppings on the meat and were greasy. They were not dry but very poor flavour, and what you would expect from taco bell (not that we've ever been there- it would probably be better...)

-The staff were poorly trained, and seemed clueless about how to deal with customer complaints. When I asked the waiter if he liked the smokey chilli sauce, he replied that he doesn't eat at the restaurant. Says...

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying some delicious food and drinks, particularly focusing on margaritas and a variety of Mexican dishes like tacos and fajitas.

The fajitas, served sizzling hot, were equally impressive. The tender strips of marinated meat paired with sautéed peppers and onions created a mouthwatering combination. Served with warm tortillas and a variety of toppings, it made for a satisfying and interactive dining experience.
