I went to have breakfast on December 5, 2024 after 9:30 am. The place is nice, very high prices. The food is good not the best if you compare prices with quality, perfect for pictures for instagram once and not to back. The staff is nice until you start to have any mind of problem although the service was somewhat chaotic and they were not very busy since there were no more than 20 people in the shop. We had ordered some drinks, some savory croissants, a sweet croissant and a cake. The food is brought separately with a lot of time between each one so you have to wait for the other person's part to arrive. The sweet thing arrived before the savory, the hot thing got cold since it was the first thing that arrived to me and I had to wait for the hot and savory thing to arrive to my friend since her desserts arrived first. The drink was the last thing we got, which we had to ask the waiter for again because it is not understandable how all the food can arrive first in a period of 30/40 minutes, with the food order arriving and the drink not arriving. When it was time to pay, I paid with my credit card at the table on the tablet they have on each table. When it was time to leave, we were leaving when the waiter said to us: "Excuse me, but haven't you paid?" To which he made me feel like a criminal in front of everyone, so I showed him my bank statement so they could see that my bank had accepted the transaction of £49.28, which left me waiting for another 20 minutes and not happy with that, they told me that I had to pay again because they couldn't find the payment. To my surprise, the payment was duplicated twice, so I waited until one of the two was pending and it didn't go through. To my surprise, both payments were made, a total of 98.56. Which now I have to be making payment disputes wasting my time that is priceless for someone to return my money, they say that they do not return what they did not receive and the bank that I have to speak to them. On top of all this you have to pay them a service of 12.5%, tips should be optional and not give £5.48 for them to give me a chaotic service, treat me like a criminal, pay them twice and be involved in disputes to receive my money. After a few days I back to the shop and when I asked to talk to the person in charge, they make me to say again everything they were looking at me very wrong again treating me like a scammer, the funny thing the person who made the payment it was in there with my ticket and he made like he did not know anything. I wonder who are the scammers here… so he went to talk to the office and they send me to send an email to the email showed in the ticket. You can see You can see how the manager underlined it. I sent the email, after a week and 2 emails nobody answer back my emails… disgusting

Visited Saturday 14th August 2021, arrive at 12.30 to a huge queue headed down the side of the building, I estimated it would take about an hour to be seated so stayed and waited as with it being lunch time on a saturday at the most instagrammable cafe in London, a wait was to be expected! 1hr 30mins later we were first in the queue watching as multiple couples leave but still noone came to greet us. 15minutes later we are finally greeted and shown to a table, having had the queue time to deliberate we already knew our order but still had to wait another 10mins for a server to come and take it. Our food arrived before our drinks which we had to ask if they were coming. Though I enjoyed my chicken foccacia and salted caramel frappe my friend unfortunately found the blue sapphire latte tasteless and overpriced at £15, she also received undercooked and cold Turkish eggs but with no serving staff to be seen I had to take the eggs to the counter and the manager (assumed as the only staff member wearing a blazer) to explain our problem with them. Despite it being very obvious the egg was undercooked from the clear substance oozing from the egg and the dish being stone cold the manager was completely unapologetic and simply asked if we planned to pay for the eggs, of which my response was no unless she receives something edible. Upon the manager speaking to my friend and making her feel very upset and awkward we just decided to order a slice of cake instead which took yet another 10 minutes to reach us. Overall service was serverly dissapointing, I think my friend was unlucky in the food she received but the situation could have been handled in a much nicer more customer service focused manner and though she didn't pay for the eggs good customer service would have gifted the cake to my friend as an apology! The cafe is beautiful as is the food I have received at different locations from the same brand, this visit was just very dissapointing and would not reccomend the queue time, try visit when it's quiet as maybe the service will improve then or maybe head to one of the other cafes, highly reccomend Park Lane!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at ELAN in Wardour Street, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the rest of the evening. First and foremost, I must commend the impeccable service provided by Muhibur. His attentiveness, friendliness, and genuine care for our dining experience truly made a lasting impression. He went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and attended to throughout the entirety of our meal. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The menu at ELAN is a culinary masterpiece, offering a delectable array of dishes that cater to every palate. Each dish we ordered was a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a true delight. The ambiance at ELAN is simply enchanting. The elegant decor, soft lighting, and cozy atmosphere create the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal with loved ones, ELAN provides the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable evening. In addition to the fantastic food and ambiance, I was also thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail at ELAN. From the exquisite presentation of each dish to the seamless coordination of the staff, every aspect of the dining experience was thoughtfully curated to perfection. Overall, my time at ELAN in Wardour Street was nothing short of magical. The combination of exceptional service, mouthwatering cuisine, and charming ambiance makes this restaurant a true gem in the heart of London. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I cannot wait to return for another memorable dining experience. Thank you, Muhibur, and the entire team at ELAN, for an evening filled with laughter, joy, and culinary delight.

Great for Instagram. Terrible if you want to eat and drink and not just take pictures.

The visit was spoiled by bad service. Which is quite a feat considering this place is pretty much self-service. All the staff do is seat you and bring the food. But they still managed to mess that up. We arrived fairly late in the evening, and the place was pretty much empty...the 4 booths in the centre were unoccupied. I asked if we could sit there. He said "no that's for 5 people. There's 2 of you, so you have to sit here. " Even though the place was pretty much empty and saving seats for non-existent customers an hour or so before you close seems silly, I did what he said and sat at a tiny table in the corner. Not even 5 minutes later, 2 people arrived, and he sat them at the booth, the one for 5 people. They didn't ask to sit there he just sat them there...in the booth closest to me. Even then, I thought very little of it....then a few minutes later another 2 people came in and were sat at another booth...for 5 people, again without them asking for it. When the staff member passed by I asked why he had sat 2 groups of 2 people at the booths he said I couldn't sit at and he just laughed and said "don't take it personally" 🤣 🙄 I wasn't...until he said that at least! No apology, nothing. I'm just very confused. Why did any of that need to happen? Absolutely bizarre. Anything positive I might have otherwise said about the place was cancelled by that. And to be fair, this place has got some positives. Some decent desserts and the coffee was ok. Everything was overpriced though, especially as it's self-service. You order and pay at your table, which is cool... but usually this means lower prices as less staff is needed...nope not here... we spent more on dessert and coffee here than we spent on the main meal earlier in the evening. I'm never going back. Wouldn't recommend either. There are plenty of other cafes nearby. With...
