⚠️ Don't recommend eating in; little shop ran by Japanese, but quite a lot of mini flying insects 🦟, felt so itchy for 2 hours after I left, plus the food came very torturously slow. 🐢 1. Atmosphere The were so many insects flying around. When I left, I felt very itchy all over as if it’s bedbugs, it was so unbearable. Inside the shop is also very hot and stuffy 🥵. No wonder the breeding of insects here. 2. Service The service was fine because I was originally happy to know it’s fully run by Japanese owners, however service was excruciatingly slow. That resulted in my extended feeding to the biting insects around the restaurant. The waitress was very nice. 3. Food In general, the sushi portions are small, the sushi is 30% tinier than the ones at the other shops. Even the wasabi given to you is tiny, just enough for 1-2 sushi. The Tan Tan Men was the most disappointing. I actually forgot it was Tan Tan Men until a few minutes after I started eating, because it just looked like an average ramen. The egg was overcooked with a grey rim on the side of the egg yellow (which means it’s overcooked, and this is bad cholesterol). Had the Dragon roll & Spicy Salmon Avocado roll. Both roll’s were topped with thousand island sauce, and it was too much. Had the scallop nigiri which is the one thing I most commend. (Huge scallop). Fatty salmon nigiri was okay too. Anyways, by the time I had left I suffered from feeling extremely itchy for 3 hours, almost forgot the taste of food itself.

Incredible cute restaurant - and my favourite restaurant in the neighbourhood. I was initially going to leave a poor review about the place, given that we waited quite a long time for the food, how expensive it was, and it seemed as though they microwaved a couple of the dishes on the menu - but all these thoughts melted away as soon as I tried the food - and the wait had been completely worth it. Highly recommend their legendary Takoyaki. Quantities may come across as small, but it certainly isn't - they serve far more than most other local Japanese places. This was by far the best Japanese food I have ever tried so far, and I have visited practically every Japanese restaurant in the borough, and this ranks at the top of all of them - beating the more lavish and posh restaurants in the area by miles. I don't think any other Japanese restaurant in Ealing/Acton ranks as high as this particular one. And the staff... they were incredibly friendly, and apologised after the long wait. No wonder they're always so busy! 10/10. Only criticisms would be to perhaps stir the edamame whilst it's cooking, to prevent salt being concentrated in certain areas, and maybe lower the price of the drinks and/or offer free tap water. Increasing the portion sizes of sushi to fit the price would also be ideal, given that the sushi is the only thing that is more expensive than the expensive Japanese restaurants. But other than that, please don't change a thing!

This is a very quaint and small little restaurant but it serves up excellent Japanese food packed with a ton of flavour. When I say small, I mean it. It's meant to serve individuals or couples, not large groups. There is only one chef making everything so do expect to wait but it's worth it. I'd also suggest going during off-peak times. The veg udon soup is the BEST flavoured broth I think I've ever tasted. It's rich, almost smoky and full of umami. The tofu you get in there is almost too sweet to my liking but I could have that broth every day. It's beautiful. I also always order the aubergine dengaku. It is served with a beautiful caramel-y miso on top of a smoky grilled aubergine and it is divine. You can tell the miso is top tier. It is a bit pricey for the amount you are served but the dish is genuinely delicious and there's a lot of love in the dish. Definitely check Ezo out and be kind, it's a two-person operation so it moves slowly, however, the team clearly care a lot about your dining experience.

I had a lovely time here at Ezo. One day coming back from work I got stuck at Acton for more than an hour due to strikes. I've found Ezo totally randomly. I had takoyaki, 8-piece sushi, and eel with rice (unagi). The unagi is known to be hard to find and hard to cook (thus, it can be quite expensive), yet, the one I had was amazing. Takoyaki was crunchy outside and soft inside, very delicious as well. The sushi was made with a generous portion of fish on each piece and solidly rolled. Food: 10/10. Price: 34.20£ (remember about the unagi, that alone was 22£, much cheaper options available in the menu but I can 100% tell you that it is worth its price!) The waiter and the chef were both very kind, smiling, and fast with their service. Service: 10/10. I chose to eat outside to enjoy the lovely day and that was great, just the car honking on the street sort of bothered me but it's certainly not the restaurant's fault. Otherwise, I'd recommend eating outside every time. I have not seen the eating room on the underground floor, hence don't rely too much on this. Maybe it is amazing ahahah location: 9/10.

Overall, I can safely say: next time that there is a strike and I'm stranded in Acton I most certainly know where to go to have my dinner!

Thank you for the amazing...
