This was my first time ordering from this place and my last time.
The food took an hour to arrive which though not terrible the restaurant is in acton whereas i'm in east acton so thats kinda a steep amount of time but nevermind.
Straight away the food presented to me was not quite what i'd ordered, The Chicken Schnitzel ( Sesame crusted chicken breast served with sauteed potatoes with parsley ) was nothing but chicken strips and potato wedges. Absolutely no sesame crustedness, dont think they even know how to saute as the wedges were definitely oven nuked. They even came in chicken shop boxes rather than containers. small bits of cheap parsley though. mmm yum.
The Spaghetti Carbonara was dry and stale tasting with what seemed like the cheapest and least amount of ingredients possible. i counted around six tiny flakes of bacon. maybe seven.
The Avocado salad seemed somewhat fresh at first, tomatoes were juicy looking and avocado seemed fine but the black olives - which seems to be a reoccuring theme - werent fresh at all. They tasted stale and dried out and ... if i'm honest barely like olives.
Which brings me to the Olive Selection. ( Olives marinated in oils and pepper )
Dry and stale was to be expected but where, oh where, does it say anything about them being obnoxiously coated in what i assume is curry powder and topped with chilli peppers and .... excuse me, Pickled onions?
i called for a refund and the attitude from the lady i spoke to was just astounding, explaining to me like i'm a child that these are fresh meals and her recipes and what goes into a carbonara doesn't change the fact that its not good food.
After arguing with her to even get a refund they sent the driver back to pick up the food and he harassed my mother by sticking his foot in the door and saying, with the little english he knew, that he would call the police. For what? because she had just come from work, didn't know anything about the situation and wanted to get me from upstairs? Just classy.
And to top it all off he looked through every container - which yes i expected he would - to check that it was all there but then accused us of eating some of the olives and toppings off the salad. i honestly would have been ok with paying the £0.75 worth of salad we had consumed but i was just absolutely done at this point. How else am i supposed to try the food? Apparently not orally. Spiritually maybe.
i really hope the pizza in this place is as amazing as the totally-not-fake-reviews have stated ¬_¬ otherwise good god... lord have mercy on ou-... No THEIR souls. Going out of business can't be fun, but they will need a damn miracle to keep that slop bucket running.

Read moreGreat takeaway! Amazing food at a great price!
It's a cash only place for takeaway - we carried the exact change and on the way my wife read a few reviews raving about the tiramisu. We were quite gutted that we didn't carry extra cash (or our cards) as we really wanted to try it. We offered the the owner to do a bank transfer to which he said,"don't worry about it, pay me next time." Basically we got a free tiramisu (which was Grade A!!) even as a first timers and him having no guarantee of us coming back to him! This place deserves 5 stars for the food, price and the owners hospitality.
Pro-tio: best to order directly from their website/phone call. It'll be a lot cheaper than...
Read moreWe took my 98 year old Italian Nanny here today. The pizza was amazing. Tasted and looked fantastic. One of the best I've ever had and would return for the food or possibly have a takeaway. Unfortunately the staff member working here was very unhelpful and quite rude. We asked for an extra plate as my Nanny doesn't eat much and he said "I'll see" sullenly, when we asked for cutlery it was dumped on the table next to us. No customer interaction or even a smile or asking us how food was. Possibly the rudest person I've ever seen in a restaurant. Even when complementing on the food there was no reaction by him. Disappointing service when the...
