Finally visited on a Saturday evening and is pleased to say that it managed to meet our expectations of a neighbourhood hunan restaurant that deserves some love!
FOOD REVIEW: Salt and pepper tofu - 2.5/5⭐️ Soft tofu with an unfortunately not so crispy, rather soggy, chewy coating. The dish was flavourful with a banging peppery note but unfortunately just seemed to miss the spot regarding the texture. Points for the fried shallots giving the dish a bit of a crunch and adding depth!
Cloud ear fungus mushroom salad - 2.5/5⭐️ Oily, spicy, and numbing. The spices are present but unfortunately lacks flavour - might need a bit more salt to this!
Pounded fresh chilli with preserved duck egg - 3.5/5⭐️ A nice combination of flavours but was unfortunately too salty for my preference! The century egg was definitely the highlight of this dish as it balances out the savouriness and adds a deep umami taste, bringing all elements together.
Dry Pot Pig intestines with Chinese Pickle - 4/5⭐️ Huge portion and heavenly sauce! We were told to order a side of noodles to pair with this dish and I can totally see why. The sauce was thick, spicy but not overpowering, with a hint of sweetness that perfectly coated every piece of meat. The intestine itself was cooked to perfection - not overly soft or chewy with a nice fatty mouthfeel, exactly the way we like it.

The highlight of our meal was the Hunan-Style Steamed Sea Bass with Fresh Chopped Chilli—an absolute must-try! The fish was steamed to perfection, melting off the bone with just the right amount of spice (not overpowering like Sichuan heat).
Their dim sum selection was another standout. The scallop dumplings were unbelievably delicious, and the classics like prawn dumplings, char siu pork buns, and spicy pork wontons were all top-notch.
We also loved the salt and pepper squid, easily one of the best we’ve had in terms of flavor. Even the cucumber salad was packed with taste and refreshingly satisfying.
If you're looking for a modern take on authentic Hunan flavors, this place is a 10/10 recommendation! Definitely...

We tried several dishes and every single one was outstanding: • Stinky Tofu: crispy outside, soft inside, with that rich sauce that makes it addictive. • Farmhouse Stir-Fried Pork: smoky, spicy, and the perfect companion to rice – a true comfort dish. • Devil Chicken Wings: fiery and bold, but the heat is so satisfying that you just keep reaching for more. • Claypot Fish Head with Sauerkraut & Tofu: tangy, hearty, and full of flavor – the broth is absolutely soul-warming. • Pig Stomach Chicken Soup: peppery, nourishing, and perfect for London’s chilly evenings.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, the vibe is lively yet cozy, and our pup was happily lying next to us the whole meal. Honestly, this is the perfect spot for foodies, families, and pet owners alike. Highly...
