I have been here twice already and I think it’s going to be a favourite. I had the surf and turf box with rice which was really nice. A good ratio of rice and meat. I do prefer more spice to my food but it was an overall satisfying meal. I also came back the same week to try Bahn Mi - I got the grilled chicken. The bahn mi bread itself was uber soft and flavourful so don’t like the dark brown colour fool you. The ratio of meat to salad in the bahn mi was 55 meat and 45 salad. Service was great and food was hot. I’d definitely visit again to try some starters and maybe some veggie options. The video is the surf and turf box.

New place that opened up a couple months ago. I’m only disappointed I didn’t notice sooner! Menu looks to have a great variety of regional Vietnamese dishes, some with a modern flair. Pro-tip if short on time: call in advance to order for pick up as most dishes will be prepared to order and take a few minutes. I tried the soft shell crab garlic noodles which were great. The crab was much larger and meatier than I expected! Perhaps could use a bit more heat, but was able to fix that with some Vietnamese garlic chili sauce I had at home. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Extremely pricey and not worth the quality. We paid close to £14.5 for noodles with grilled chicken with 3 pieces of prawn in it. The customer service was so terrible that I wouldn’t even bother coming back. Too oily and nothing special about the noodles in the least as well. They are take away and the prices have gone up massively. If this is what they are going to continue, I don’t see a path for survival. I would suggest the management to work on bettering the quality of food and reorganise the service staff.

I’ve been going to Nam Nam for a few years now but recently staff aren’t as attentive as they used to be and the price increases are ridiculous. Especially as the food has become sub-par. I won’t be back again.

Their usual lunch time offer £10 for banh-mi, fries & a drink has changed to £12 for banh-mi, wings and a drink. That was fine but I wanted fries as per the previous lunch deal. The server fussed that this wasn’t possible and directed me to the self-service till. I used the iPad and it showed wings weren’t available so it just felt like arguing for the sake of it.

I ordered a chicken banh-mi, with no cucumber and Coke then I substituted for fries. I waited about 30 minutes for my order as saw Diet Coke instead. I asked for Coke again as I had ordered and was yelled at with staff saying “We’re out it’s Monday, we sold out” Okay, but why not update the self service like they did for wings?

On their GoodEats io page it still showed all of the above as in stock too.

I go onto eat my Banh-Mi and it was so flavourless, my friend’s banh-mi had cartilage in it and my own had cucumber even though I had marked this to be removed on the self-service till. There was also spoiled coriander in the sandwich. Clearly past its best before date.

The spring rolls were terrible, tasted like the worst quality freezer version.

I went back to complain and the server immediately said that’s how it’s usually made. I showed him the receipt and then he flippantly said “sorry”.

It’s shocking and their so called “deals” don’t make sense. It’s not value for money AND it’s poor quality especially when they used to make great food. A couple that came in after us went next door to buy drinks since their lunch menu would be £17 for a main, side & drink.

Feels like their only focus is delivery service, you’re forgotten about in store and treated...

September 2024 got food from NAM NAM, and if I had not eaten Vietnamese food before after eating here I would NEVER eaten Vietnamese food again! If you want FRESH VIETNAMESE FOOD GO TO BANH MI BAY IN SURREY QUAYS, IT TASTES GOOD, COSTS LESS AND TASTE FRESH.

I don't understand who is leaving 5 star reviews!

BACK TO NAM NAM: Bought the Bun Cha Hanoi style grilled pork shoulder on top of rice noodles served with crunchy Vietnamese salad and veggie spring rolls. After I had already eaten some, I found A PIECE ALUMINIUM FOIL IN MY FOOD! THEN A FEW RANDOM PIECES OF CHIPS WHEN I DID NOT ORDER ANYTHNG WITH CHIPS! Gross it made me wonder what else might be hiding in there?

The PORK was the cheapest pieces of meat I have seen in my life, It was thin bits of fatty skin that someone chewed up I tried to eat some of it, because I was SO HUNGRY but it tasted SWEET AND LIKE IT HAD GONE OFF. The NOODLES were plain and greasy (and chopped up and for some strange reason). The SALAD was lettuce, that tastes like washing up liquid, there were 2 pieces of cucumber and some chillies not exactly salad.

The only thing I enjoyed were THE MINI VEGETABLE SPRING ROLLS they are the exact same one you get when ordering Chinese food. I am sure they just bought them frozen from a factory and fried them. I have bought them from a Chinese supermarket before and they taste the same.

The food went into the bin it tasted gross, I found things in my food that should not have been there. What a complete waste of...

Absolutely diabolical customer service!! There is a particular member of staff, she works on the counter and I assume she’s in some sort of management role as other members off staff seem to stare away and avoid eye contact out of complete awkwardness at the level of rudeness she seems to feel so comfortable to display , I don’t travel all the way from Kent to be spoken down too! The arrogance of this particular lady is on another level, and judging from other reviews, I’m not the only one that has encountered her ignorance.

Genuinely I’m not one to leave such a distasteful review but her behaviour towards me on my most recent visit was beyond abhorrent, I’ve given her poor behaviour in the past the benefit of the doubt as I can only imagine how demanding the job can be but her attitude just cannot be excused anymore - maybe a course on basic customer service should...
