Have been visiting this place regularly at Bang Bang food hall right opposite my place and still think that their roast meat is the best in town. Was here for dinner with some friends on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. Usually during the weekends you would have to wait at least 30-60 minutes to get seated. We went with the Peking duck (half size), aubergine and minced pork in hot clay pot, stir fry morning glory in beancurd paste, char siu and pork belly cooked with preserved vegetables and then 3 portions of egg fried rice on the side. Everything was great, especially the char siu for me - so flavourful and juicy and addictive! My friends really enjoyed the Peking duck with the pancakes, hoisin sauce and veggies. And the aubergine with minced pork in clay pot was another winner for us all. We all agreed that the pork belly cooked with preserved vegetables was the least favourite, the flavour just wasn't there because they didn't use enough preserved vegetables to make the stew so it's rather disappointing. Stir fry morning glory was good but don't think my friend enjoyed the beancurd paste much. Between the 4 of us we ordered 5 dishes and had some leftovers so the portions were definitely generous, especially the egg fried rice given how the staff advised us to go for 3 portions to share amongst us 4. We each paid £28.80 which was reasonable right in the centre of Chinatown. Service was actually surprisingly above my expectations as i know how Cantonese places tend to not care too much about customers and just want people to eat and go so they can serve as many as they can each day. As someone from Hong Kong who knows this I was therefore impressed with how nice the staff were. This place will forever be one of my top 3 Cantonese restaurants in London and I know for sure I will come back very soon!

The food wasn't bad, but the overall service made the food disgusting as well! This was my first experience with chinese food and chinese culture, and if this is what chinese is all about, then thank you, you waiters for giving China a very bad reputation!!! Hideous behaviour!!! Rude waiter, when ordering, we asked about one of the meals (it was our first time with chinese food, I believe that the waiter is also for explaining the meals) and he answered that he doesnt have time and he will come back later to take the order. When we ordered, the rude waiter collected the menu's and other uneccessary things off the table with angriness and as if he wanted to demonstrate, that he is not happy with us being there. Disgraceful!!! When we asked for the bill a different waiter came. He deliberately ignored our request to split the bill among us, but finally agreed when we explained that we do not have the full bill amount on 1 card. He mentioned nothing about the discretionary amount of 6 pounds!!! Discretionary for what!!! For such rude and hideous behaviour?! Absolutely disgusting. After payment he deliberately took the bill away with him as if he thought that he will get away with the discretionary secret. Well guess what, you didn't!

For London, the roast pork and roast duck is very good. For London's Chinatown, it is excellent. But overall, it is decent, but nothing amazing. It all depends on the standard you are used to. Pork was lean yet crispy like I like it. Atmosphere however was terrible. We were shoved upstairs in a cramped... well, it looks like a converted storage room. Bare white walls. 0 ambience. It was loud, stuffy, and you're practically dining at communal tables, that's how close we were to our (annoying) neighbours. Service was almost nonexistent too. Not much better than a quickstop cafeteria. The food can't actually compensate for the awful atmosphere and indifferent service. I am used to many Chinese places being a little brusque with service, but at least they are quick and efficient. Here, not so much. It's all the indifference and none of the efficiency. Toilet was... not great. But they rarely are. And there is only one. That said, if I'm in the mood for decent roast meat, I would probably come back if I'm in the area. It's so far the best in Chinatown for roast duck, but nothing to write home about and I wouldn't make a special trip just for this.

I strongly urge anyone considering Four Seasons on Gerrard Street to think twice before dining here.

Within minutes of being seated at a very tight table for 5 making it very uncomfortable to sit with other diners. A staff member forcibly pulled our table while we were still sitting, without asking for permission. This was done purely to squeeze in another table, making our space even tighter and more uncomfortable and not even possible to sit in the space we had been given. When we objected, we were met with complete indifference. Instead of addressing our concerns, the staff rudely dismissed us and insisted they didn't care, openly prioritising table turnover over customer experience. To make matters worse, they began speaking about us in Chinese right in front of us, with a tone that was unmistakably condescending and disrespectful.

This restaurant operates with zero regard for customer comfort or respect, treating diners as mere inconveniences in their pursuit to pack in more tables for profit. The staff is aggressively rude, physically intrusive, and dismissive of customer concerns, making for one of the most humiliating dining experiences I've ever endured.

Trust me, there are far better Chinese restaurants in Chinatown that value their customers and provide a far more enjoyable dining experience. Avoid this place unless you want to be treated with disrespect, crammed into an uncomfortably tight space, and made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a...

This restaurant has the most ridiculously incompetent door staff I’ve ever encountered. Lunch at 12:10 pm today. Had a table with family members already seated upstairs. Stopped by a senior male front staff/waiter who very confidently told us that he’s checked and it’s impossible that they are upstairs, and suggested they might be in the restaurant (little four seasons) next door. Thanked him for his suggestion and carried a pram up the other restaurant and didn’t see anyone there. I went back to the original restaurant, went upstairs, and spotted my family seated in a table. Went downstairs and motioned my wife to go up. The same head waiter/ front staff appeared out of nowhere and blocked the entrance. Instead of apologizing for his mistake, he arrogantly repeated that my family was not upstairs and I must have been mistaken. Asked again how many people were in the booking. After exasperatedly explaining that I literally just saw them with my own eyes, he didn’t appear to believe me, and thought I must be joking. Talking to a brick wall would probably get a better result. Ignored him, brushed him aside and went upstairs to the table anyway. Heard him berating me behind my back for my ā€œbad attitudeā€. Whether it’s dementia, lack of training, or an employee sabotaging the reputation of his own restaurant, we...
