If you are of any ethnicity I do not recommend this place at all!!! I came very friendly to the door and the black bodyguard told me to show ID which I showed and then called me a arab and I'm actually British Pakistani but at this moment I was still okay with it. What came next hurt me a lot and I was discriminated against. I had my work bag on and they demanded to search it. I let them but I have been to many pubs, work get together at pubs in Central London and never have I had my bag ever searched. I was upset and ended up leaving straight after. This place is only for the whites and even the coloured bodyguard who knows as a coloured person the discrimination we receive still did what he did. Wonderful and unexpected pub in Putney, rarely present on guides and ratings. It's a typical English pub, serving beers from 10 o' clock in the morning until midnight but what I found amazing is the english breakfast they serve, richer and much more delicious than the one other similar pubs usually offer and -most important- at an incredibly cheaper price! Great selection of beers too. The quiet and pleasant atmosphere in the morning/early afternoon is priceless and the staff is quick and kind. Walked into the fox and hounds in putney and got greeted by a smartly dressed couple behind the bar I ordered an even bigger breakfast which was cooked by there chef on shift believed to be a young gent called Jacob when the food came to the table the presentation on the food was explicit the detail to putting it together on the plate made the visit worth while the food was cooked to perfection in every way and all of it was hot when it reached the table compliments to the chef were made and to the staff on duty on the way out of I could give more than 5 stars then I would have easily given it an 8.
