If I could post -100 stars I would. My husband and I decided to come in to Francesca’s for the first time because we wanted to support a small business on our high street.
The waitress sat us down and barely gave us enough time to look at the menu, never mind have time to glance at the food by the counter. I’ve been struggling with anxiety lately, so when she came to ask what we wanted, my husband even said oh do you want a few more minutes to decide, and I, to be polite, just quickly chose a pasta to not keep her waiting.
I said to my husband when she left, I don’t know if I made the right choice, I just want to see what they have at the counter. He said not to worry if I want to take something to go. So I wasn’t wasting money or food, I went up and looked at the food and I asked her what was what and I asked if the pasta was already being made. I said very clearly, if it’s already being made, I will take it. And she said to me, it’s not. So I said ok I’ll try this lamb samosa that was already ready made.
The milkshake we ordered came but the food hadn’t yet and I still feel like I didn’t get to actually look at the menu properly because I was rushed, and I actually found a panini I wanted to try instead, it’s exactly what I was looking to have in a cafe like this. I thought ok if the ready made samosa from the counter hasn’t come, let me quickly ask for the panini instead so I’ll actually have something I want. I very politely asked for this to the waitress, she looked annoyed at me and said so you don’t want the samosa? And I said no sorry. I didn’t get told by the waitress it was being heated up and before I know it, another woman who appeared to be the owner, started shouting for the whole cafe to hear, no you cannot change your mind every five minutes this is ridiculous you have to have it. I was humiliated as there were other people seated and a man being served in front of this woman whilst she is belittling me. I was still polite and said it’s ok if it’s being heated then I will take it.
The same woman who shouted at me then came to serve my food, obviously the other waitress didn’t want to serve us now. So I told this woman, I have anxiety, I’m sorry I was indecisive but all you had to say was the food was already being prepared, privately to just me and my husband, so we cannot accommodate this. At the end of the day, I’m also a paying customer. I think she finally realised I’m not a person just trying to by annoying. What annoyed me more, was how polite and welcoming she was to a British family sat next to me and my husband, who are both British Indians. We didn’t get even a hello when we walked in from the woman who shouted at us. My husband also didn’t even get the basil that was included in his panini and he didn’t get the salad he ordered.
Please learn from this and always remember to treat everyone kindly. You absolutely humiliated me and my husband and ruined what should have been a nice Saturday lunch with my husband and dog. We will never come back here because of this awful service and we would never recommend this cafe to my family or friends, if anything, we will now warn them not to go here now to avoid this terrible treatment. I’m...

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday, and it was honestly a very last-minute request. She’s absolutely crazy about Minecraft, and I asked for a themed cake in her favorite colours — purple and pink. Francesca did the most amazing job, going above and beyond what I had even imagined. I sent her a picture for inspiration, but the cake she created was far more stunning, fabulous, and delicious than the one I had shown. The details, colours, and finish were just perfect, and it truly made my daughter’s day so special.
On top of that, we also requested custom-made chicken samosas, and wow — what a treat they were! They had a unique taste, so fresh, so flavorful, and every guest was raving about how extraordinary they were. It really stood out as something special and different from the usual.
Francesca was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole process, even though we came to her with last-minute orders. She handled everything with so much professionalism, warmth, and care, which made the experience stress-free and wonderful for us.
Thank you once again, Francesca, for making my daughter’s birthday extra special. Your effort, creativity, and talent truly shine through in everything you make. I’ll definitely be recommending you to friends and family, and I look forward to ordering from you again in the...
Read moreFrancesca Cakes and Coffee House is located on Field End Road about 100 yards (99 metres !!) past Eastcote Station (TfL Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines) towards South Ruislip. In the last few weeks (October 2022) the interior has been made larger by the removal of a stud wall, providing more tables / seats and refrigerated display space. Tables and chairs are also available outside on the pavement. Francescas' offers breakfast items, lunch meals and drop-in coffee / tea and cakes. Portions are good, and whilst things look expensive at first glance then tend not to be. Couple of examples - full breakfast costs £ 8.00 but does include a hot or cold drink, and also cake portions are close to double the size you might find elsewhere. Staff are great, helpful and attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere is very relaxed inside. My Sister and I are regular visitors now, usually taking cakes for eating later...
