Extremely Disappointed with Poor Food Quality at Gujju Dhaba

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5 stars)

Review:

I recently visited Gujju Dhaba for the first time, and I must express my utmost disappointment with the poor food quality I experienced during my visit. It is disheartening to witness such a stark contrast between the expectations set by false publicity and the reality of the dining experience.

The most egregious example of this was the Dabeli, where I discovered that the Panipuri Masala had been deceitfully used as an ingredient. This deceptive practice not only compromised the authenticity of the dish but also left a deeply unsatisfying taste in my mouth. It is unacceptable to substitute essential ingredients and mislead customers in such a manner.

Additionally, the Hakka noodles I ordered were a complete letdown. They lacked any discernible flavor and tasted as if they were simply boiled noodles with no seasoning whatsoever. I expected a harmonious blend of spices and vegetables, but instead, I was met with a bland and uninspiring plate of noodles. The lack of effort put into this dish was apparent, and it left me longing for a fulfilling culinary experience.

To make matters worse, the Panipuri served at Gujju Dhaba was made with stale potatoes, completely diminishing the joy and satisfaction one expects when indulging in this popular street food. The essence and freshness that make Panipuri enjoyable were absent, leaving me thoroughly disappointed.

It is disheartening to see a restaurant resort to false advertising and lure customers with cheap prices while delivering absolute rubbish in terms of food quality. As a patron, I value honesty, integrity, and most importantly, an enjoyable dining experience. Unfortunately, Gujju Dhaba failed to deliver on all fronts.

I urge the management of Gujju Dhaba to reevaluate their practices, prioritize quality control, and regain the trust of their customers. It is imperative to provide authentic, delicious food that lives up to the expectations set by their promotional efforts.

Overall, my visit to Gujju Dhaba was a deeply unsatisfactory experience. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a genuinely enjoyable...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gujju Dhaba Express located at 6 Honeypot Ln, Kingsbury Circle, London NW9 9QD. As soon as my family and I walked in, we were promptly greeted and seated, despite the bustling crowd outside. It was a busy evening, with a long line of people waiting for takeaways, but we were fortunate to secure a table.

The moment we took our first bite, we were transported back to the vibrant streets of Gujarat in India. The food at Gujju Dhaba Express was simply amazing and earned a perfect 10/10 in my books. The flavors were authentic, reminiscent of the delightful culinary adventures I experienced during my travels. The menu was a treasure trove of mouth watering options.

While the dining experience may not be what some would consider a traditional sit-down restaurant, it perfectly captures the essence of Indian street food. Given the bustling nature of the place, our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed. However, I anticipated this and couldn't fault her for it. It added to the charm of the place, replicating the in-and-out experience you would find at any street food joint in India.

Gujju Dhaba Express is a place where the food speaks volumes. The diverse range of delectable dishes and the incredible flavors make it an irresistible choice for anyone craving authentic Gujarati cuisine. Whether you are a fan of Dabeli's tangy goodness, the crispiness of Bhajia, or the delicate fluffiness of Dhokla, this restaurant has it all.

Would I return to Gujju Dhaba Express? Absolutely! This place has earned a special spot in my heart, and I can't wait to explore more of their menu. If you're looking for an authentic culinary adventure that will transport your taste buds to the streets of Gujarat, look no further. Gujju Dhaba Express is a hidden gem that deserves to...

Date Visited – 20th April 2024.

Location: The Restaurant is just next to the Kingsbury Station on Jubilee Line (Turn left when you come out of the station), walk for 5 minutes. It is next to the TESCO on cross road.

Customer Service: The Customer Service we received was truly outstanding. I would like to give a special mention to Pragnesh Bhai for his politeness and helpfulness. Pragnesh Bhai was quick in taking our order, patiently assisted us in selecting dishes from the menu, and even suggested some tasty options to try. Every dish we tried was not only delicious but also served with care.

Food Quality: The quality of the food surpassed all my expectations, leaving me absolutely thrilled! The portions were so generous that they easily fed a party of five. The food was served with utmost care, ensuring that not a single drop spilled out. Each dish exuded a remarkable freshness that was simply irresistible. The presentation was top-notch, making every plate a feast for the eyes. If you're wondering what to order, I can recommend the Rotla and Sev Tameta for sure. And make sure to try the delectable Katki Dabeli, which the restaurant highly recommends!

Parking – There are many street pay and park facilities available. The parking opposite the V B Shop is free after 16:30 pm

Price: With just payment of £65 covered the dining expenses for a group of five individuals. I am convinced that this is an unbeatable price, especially when you consider the substantial quantity of food we indulged in and, naturally, the impeccable quality of the cuisine.

Table Booking – Advance booking isn't necessary! Simply come in and the staff will be happy to help you. The restaurant can get busy after 7pm, so it's a good idea to arrive early. Waiting a bit will be worth it when you get to savor the...

**Disappointing Aloo Tikki Chaat and Pani Puri Experience** I recently had a very disappointing experience with your aloo tikki chaat. What was served to me was simply mashed potatoes (it was a little flavourful) with chutney and a scant few chickpeas. This does not meet the standard of an authentic aloo tikki chaat. The tikki should be crispy from shallow frying, providing a delightful crunch, and there should be a generous amount of chickpeas and chutneys. If you keep arguing that you make your own tikki and the way you made it is how it is, it is not like that. If you maintain that what you served is aloo tikki chaat, I strongly suggest you try some from other places to understand the difference. Additionally, claiming that this is the best you can offer for £3 is unacceptable. What you served was not worth that price. If you can't serve a proper dish, it's better not to serve it at all. As a regular customer for the past six months, I have also noticed issues with your pani puri. Despite advertising 18 pieces, at least five of them consistently have holes, and the flavor of the water is never consistent. It changes every time, affecting the overall experience. Justifying this with low prices doesn't hold. I'd rather pay £3 or 5 pounds elsewhere and receive a consistent and satisfactory taste every time. Sometimes it is better to listen to the feedback rather than arguing. Unfortunately, you have lost a regular customer.

Visited newly opened Gujju daba express on a Saturday night with a group of friends to celebrate a successful trekking expedition to EBC; anyhow I have to say, we were absolutely blown away by the exceptional quality and taste of their food. Despite arriving just before closing time, the team were accommodating and made us feel welcome. The prices at Gujju daba express are incredibly affordable, and the service is fast, efficient and delivered with a smile. It's clear that the team at daba express are highly passionate about providing their customers with a top-notch experience! The seating and ambiance at Gujju daba express is welcoming and comfortable, which adds to the overall experience. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, from the decor, customer service and to the presentation of the food. In particular, I highly recommend trying the sev puri at Gujju daba express; it's a must try street food dish and so delicious that I will undoubtedly be making weekly visits just to get my fix! Tried a few other dishes, and they were all equally freshly prepared and outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Gujju daba express to anyone looking for a high quality, tasty street food experience at super affordable prices. The team's passion for delivering a great experience shines through in every aspect of the restaurant, making it a must visit spot for anyone in the area.
