I chose this place for a bday day out with some uni friends as this place was very popular and a lot of people were raving about it on social media. It is safe to say, best dining experience we’ve had and top notch for Korean food. From the dark but neon bright atmosphere, to the generous service to the overall food itself, we were left with immense satisfaction. Their dishes are on the pricier side, but it is worth it if you’re sharing with others. We came here in the afternoon but wasn’t busy.
They have the standard Korean dishes, but added condiments. We opted to share dishes thus we got the black pink chicken, kimchi & pork fried rice, beef short ribs, chuncheon spicy cheesy chicken, sweet & sour chicken. For sides we went for the 3 for £12 deal and thus opted for kimchi and kimchi cucumber. We loved all of the dishes, packed full of flavour and served the authentic flavours really well. All very moreish. I really enjoyed the cheesy chicken. The tteoboki was the softest I’ve tried and sauce was at a good spicy level. The kimchi cucumber was crunchy but lacked spice. Despite this, we loved the freshness and tanginess it gave when we would pair it with other dishes in one bite or on its own that we ordered 7 bowls in total. One of the waiters jokingly giggled at us for this and they kindly didn’t charge us for 2 bowls when it came to the final bill.
For drinks, I liked my blue forest cocktail, but my friend’s pink bag mocktail was my favourite. Milky and fresh.
The yuzu cheesecake definitely wasn’t the highlight, quite solid surprisingly and didn’t offer much, but it was nice to try.
This is by far the most expensive meal I’ve had, but we do not hold any regrets and was worth the treat. Service was lovely and all of the staff members that served us were kind. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back when the opportunity arises. This place is suitable for a meal out with...

On a bustling Friday evening in Leicester Square’s Chinatown, my partner and I found ourselves caught in the usual dilemma—where to eat? With long queues stretching outside most restaurants, we wandered through the streets, hoping for a stroke of luck. And luck, indeed, led us to Hankki London, a vibrant Korean eatery that turned out to be the perfect start to our evening before heading to the cinema chain nearby.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth. The girl at the entrance was incredibly friendly, quickly finding us a seat despite the weekend rush. It set the tone for an experience where service was not just efficient but also genuinely welcoming.
And then came the food—bold, flavorful, and utterly satisfying.
We ordered:
the Spicy Pork Rice, a dish that packed the perfect balance of heat and savoury richness 🌶️ 🤤 🌟 🌟 🌟
Chicken Wings with Four Sauces, each one offering a different layer of deliciousness. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, making it clear that this was Korean comfort food done right. The portion was good too so we could easily share. 🌟 🌟 🌟 😋
Beyond the food, the ambience was another highlight. The funky decor, paired with upbeat music, created a lively and dynamic atmosphere. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a long chat over flavorful dishes, the setting makes it an inviting place to unwind.
For those looking to explore Korean cuisine in the heart of London, Hankki is a must-visit.
Great service, delicious food, and a fantastic vibe—what more could anyone ask for?

Read moreCome only if you want to be charged with service charge with non existent service. I visited this establishment on 5th May 6+ pm for dinner and was served by a group of young Asian staff.
Firstly, when asked if we could change seats because we were given a table that was sandwiched literally in between two other tables, staff (a young lady who has long and curly hair) just nonchalantly commented that this is the only seat they have and that everyone is also seated the same way and just walked away, without even trying to offer a solution for us. A simple initiative of just helping us to reorientate the position of the surrounding tables would have done the job but nope they can’t be bothered with us 🙂
Apart from the dishes being served to us, the staff there literally rendered zero service; e.g didn’t bother to serve us water when we were seated, didn’t ask anything about our experience or simple questions like whether if the food was ok when we were paying the bill. Lastly, we did not feel welcomed at all and it felt like they didn’t want customers to patronise at all.
Otherwise, food was great so kudos to that. But definitely won’t visit again because customer service to me is equally important as the quality of food and this is totally unacceptable considering they charged for service charge and expectations were severely not met.
Btw I’m also asian and I can assure that there’s no racial bias to my comments above :) but just a side observation that the Asian staff do seem to treat other customers with differing racial profiles abit better. nevertheless, a...
