I ordered a Mille crĆŖpe cake from this Japanese patisserie to celebrate my partnerās and my 3rd anniversary. To be fair, the cake itself was well made-neatly layered, and it arrived undamaged, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience left me feeling quite disappointed and misled.
One major issue was with their ābirthday messageā add-on. For Ā£3 extra, youāre given the option to include a birthday messageābut nowhere does it clearly explain that youāre paying for someone to write on a basic card. I had assumed, reasonably, that this would be written on the cake itself, as most bakeries do. Instead, we received a tiny piece of paper with a crappy written āHappy Birthdayā that looked like a last-minute afterthought. It felt like a cheap upsell and a complete waste of money. Very misleading and honestly quite disappointing. For the high priceānearly Ā£100 for the cake plus deliveryāyouād expect not just a great product, but also clear communication and decent service. Unfortunately, the patisserie had several chances (through the website, the order process, or email confirmation & text messages) to clarify what the birthday message actually involved, but didnāt.
The cake was good, but not the best weāve hadāand definitely not worth the price for a whole one. If youāre curious, Iād suggest just buying a slice rather than ordering a full cake. Otherwise, youāre better off supporting a local private Japanese baker who can offer something more special and transparent for the money. Also worth noting: the delivery isnāt even insured if the cake arrives damaged, which makes the high cost even harder to justify.
Overall, a lovely cake let down by poor communication and a frustratingly overpriced experience.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this place was so disappointing that I feel itās necessary to share. From the moment I walked in, the service was shockingly rude. There was no āgood morning,ā no greeting, no sense of welcome at all. I stood awkwardly waiting to be acknowledged, only to realise that you apparently have to ask to be served no initiative from the staff whatsoever.
When I did approach to order, I asked for just one mochi. Iād seen the hype on TikTok and thought Iād give it a try. But honestly, the staffās attitude ruined the entire experience. The woman serving me acted like she didnāt want to be there, and certainly didnāt want me there either. Her tone and body language were cold and dismissive.
I sat down to eat, but the whole vibe was so unpleasant I couldnāt enjoy it. The mochi may have been decent, but it tasted sour in the shadow of such poor treatment. This isnāt just about being unfriendly itās a lack of basic customer service.
Management seriously needs to train their staff on how to interact with customers. A simple smile or a polite greeting goes a long way. Unfortunately, this visit left a bad taste in my mouth and it had nothing to do with the food.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a celebration cake with 3D decoration. The whole ordering process felt strange - online order was picked up via whatsapp by the companyās manager, who sounded rude and unprofessional, and demanded higher price by saying that the prices listed online were wrong, and that she had asked her staff to update the website but they had apparently forgotten. Subsequent order processing and confirmation were also through informal WhatsApp chats with this person. The cake itself was disappointing. The decoration looked cheap and poorly done, nothing like the show photos and definitely not worth the steep prices charged. Was also mistakenly given a shortcake rather than a crepe mille cake. Received no real apology from the same manager (other than blaming their online system again) and not even an offer to refund the price difference. Overall an unpleasant experience. Will...
