This place is close by to Finsbury park station walking distance. Price is a little pricey but the environment and service make up for it. They play Vietnamese music inside and have a clean space which is brightly lit, the lanterns inside make you feel like your back in Vietnam and they have very comfortable leather seats with some being low and more spacious where you can lean back. My toddler was able to sleep peacefully in this store even with the music on. I was able to bring my buggy in easily and find a space to park it. By the window they also have high chairs facing out so you can be away from the inside setting without leaving. The have a unique neon sign saying “Boba is life” with the bubble tea on it which is different.
The menu is easy to read and has a small description but they also have the menu on tv screens at the back by the till. The banh mi I ordered was the Hanoi one which came out warm and smells delicious however the portion is quite small and not as filling as Hoi An on Mare street. For £10 I found it quite expensive and expected more filling but the flavor profile was good the different filling included Pate, Pork floss, Pork sausage, pickled carrots and daikon etc. I did need to add some Sriracha for a little kick. On the other hand the Matcha bubble tea hit the spot with the flavor. My meal came up to around £16-£20 which is quite expensive in my opinion.
It was a lovely space within the store away from the horrid rain outside, the one staff whom I saw front of house was working there was a young man who looked like he could be a student was very kind and friendly. The order didn’t take long and the store was not busy until 6pm-ish when it started to get busy. This is a cosy space to catch up with friends and I would recommend and come back to try their Bubble tea flavors that are different such as the Yakut range and the Durian flavour.
One thing I would point out it they are wheelchair accessible however their toilet space is not and they also don’t have baby changing facilities. The toilet seat was not fitted properly on to the toilet and looked...
Read moreThis place just hits the spot for me. Vietnamese food, bubble tea and coffee all in a nice, cosy place? Perfection for people like me who forget to eat while reading books, working or studying. Every drink I have tried from them so far was delicious. I had their special Durian milk tea and I must say, it was a delight but DEFINITELY NOT FOR THOSE WHO AREN'T FAMILIAR WITH THE FRUIT. It has an acquired taste but it was nostalgic, nevertheless.
For the food, I had the pork and prawn spring rolls and the grilled pork with rice for lunch I'd give it a 8/10, just because I think the flavours weren't as full blown as I'd like them to be. I would have loved more spice and fish sauce in their sauce.
I haven't tried the Bánh mì yet which I heard was the best. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest. Service was 10/10. The cafe has comfortable seats, a lot of sockets (most tables had a pair) and WiFi. It's a mini paradise for me. A definite...
Read moreAn absolute gem – consider yourself lucky if you’ve stumbled upon this spot!
This is Vietnamese cuisine at its finest, even better than what I had in Vietnam just last week. The pho is exceptional – rich, warming broth that’s perfect for a chilly, rainy day. The portions are generous, with plenty of tender meat and perfectly cooked noodles. If you’re a fan of coriander, just ask – they’ll happily provide it.
I was visiting for an Arsenal match, and the staff here couldn’t have been friendlier. A special shoutout to Chi, who was incredibly kind and attentive. Thanks to Chi, I’ve developed such a positive impression of this area. From helping me charge my phone to giving me detailed directions, the service was truly outstanding.
Don’t leave without trying their bubble tea for dessert. It’s brewed from fresh tea leaves, and the flavour is incredibly rich and authentic. Highly,...
