Harris + Hoole — Restaurant in London

Their coffee really is great, but I'd stopped coming to this cafe for a long while because I found the staff too patronising. Asked for a long espresso and was given a lecture about why my request was so ignorant. Even after being sitted enjoying my coffe (long) one member of staff managed to come close enough to enquary more about my taste in coffee (with the correspondent condescending look). Funny, nevertheless, a reason for not coming back. One day I saw different staff so I entered and enjoyed a lovely americano (I still fear to ask for a long espresso). Te establishment is wide and well lighted with glass walls. I like it there. The food was still ok.

I have been a regular customer at the Harris + Hoole branch in St Margaret’s for almost two years now, and I can honestly say it is outstanding in every way. The place is always spotless and well-kept, which makes the environment really pleasant. The staff are incredibly polite, genuinely friendly, and noticeably professional in how they handle everything.

What I especially appreciate is their balance of warmth and efficiency — they create such a welcoming atmosphere, yet at the same time they are so focused and quick that the queue always moves faster than you’d expect.

Every single team member in this branch, both the guys and the girls, are absolutely brilliant. The managers are truly fortunate to have such exceptional staff, and it clearly shows in the quality of service delivered here.

Whenever you go there, always dirty. Everywhere is unclean and not tidy. If you sit by the wall, you can't tell when the floor or wall has been cleanedT. he kitchen is filthy either. You can see when you ordering, so it is even more noticeable. And so it’s also questionable whether the children's toys are sanitised. I remember that the coffee was good when I had about a year ago. I was surprised when I went and ordered it the other day. It tasted terrible. I don't think it is a feature of this shop. It just didn't taste good. It's a pity, because if it were a little cleaner, if the coffee machine were cleaner and if the taste wasn't so cloying, it would be a normal coffee shop. The location is good, the inside is spacious and comfortable. I only wish it could be better...
