Went on valentine's day. It was a disaster. There were only 2 members of staff on duty. One who kept disappearing and leaving the other to deal with a full resturant. It was a set menu with processco as part of the meal but we sat down and after 15 minutes I asked if I could order a drink. I was give a menu and left another 15 minutes when she came to take food orders and finally got the free processco that i expected on arrival It was 45 minutes before any starters showed up. They were nice and tasty. The main course unfortunately let things down. We both ordered medium rare steak. One was well done and the other was rare. The rare was was also a terrible cut and had to be sent back. Dessert was okay. The chocolate souffle was less of a souffle and more of a sponge cake. I never compain in restaurants but I can safely say this was the worst experience. Bad planning on staffing, food being cooked badly and no communication or apologies for either. Sad my little local Italian is not somewhere I will...

Local friends had said the pizza menu was a bit bland and ingredients sparse on pizzas but I decided to try it for myself, their pizza menu could be much better, there’s so much you can add to a pizza! I think just ask for what you want that they have on the menu, it costs extra but worth it, main menu a bit sparse on ingredients, ie like goats cheese, red onion. Spinach, onions, garlic, olives, mascarpone. I made my own pizza! It wasn’t easy as they were busy and a bit of a language barrier but got there in the end, I asked for all their cheeses, tomato base, lots of spinach, red onions, olives, garlic, asked for mascarpone a staple in my pizzas but the didn’t have or know what it was!? so went for the cream option .. OMG .. this was the best Uk pizza I’ve had in years!! Totally recommend.. have to say the pasta dishes they were serving smelt absolutely delicious too .. they should make a special house...

Attended Il Gusto last night for my partners birthday. Table of 7, each persons food was on point! We had pizzas and pasta and wow! All the food came out timely (despite one person being 30 mins late). Calamari was amazing, good sized portion and you could taste the flavour! Our friend has a calzone .. incredible, the taste but also the sheer size!

Now let’s get on to service …. IMPECCABLE! Made to feel so welcome, waiter was really attentive and really helpful giving great wine recommendations. We brought a cake with us to celebrate and the staff had the whole restaurant singing. Brought some celebratory Lemoncellos out, the staff even brought me a little apple juice shot as I’m 38 weeks pregnant and didn’t want me feeling left out.

Just an absolute pleasure from start to finish and we’ll...

Local Italian restaurant vibe. Worth checking out! We had the Tartuffe pizza, Hawaiian pizza and steak, which were all delicious. The waiter was friendly, considerate and took my food intolerances to onions and garlic into consideration and modified the steak dish, which I appreciated. It was tasty and I didn’t feel like I missed out at all. Unfortunately, the carbonara was watery and a bit unappetising for my boyfriend. The dish wasn’t that consistency on a previous visit. When feedback was given to the waitress, apparently that was how the chef does it and that was it. We didn’t order anything further. Too full but had room for limoncello!Despite the carbonara, we would definitely return and try out some other dishes as the menu seemed quite extensive and interesting.

This place is fabulous. That all the staff are smiling and happy is a good start. Happy staff, happy food. This was a break from GCSEs, a visiting son and girlfriend. A trip out. The food sublime. Mussels, aranchini, lightly fried squid, tricolor salad to start. Shared, ripped, guzzled. For mains two specials: fish stew, crab linguine, and the staples lasagne, roast aubergine and smoked chicken pasta. Warm bread, cocktails, laughs. Yum. To finish? Velvety cheesecake - see photo; tiramisu like an angel's breathe; a souffle embarrassed by its own sauciness and something else equally good. Just go.

Lovely local restaurant. I’ve been to this place a few times and really love it. The owners and most of the waiters are Italian and super friendly and the food is very authentic Italian. The menu offers a wide selection of starters, pasta dishes and second courses, plus they have specials of the day. We had the arancini and calamari for starters which were delicious followed by pizzas with a side of fried courgettes. All outstanding! They also offered a complimentary glass of limoncello and amaretto. The atmosphere is lovely and so is the decor of the restaurant.
