Yesterday, my family and I visited Heavenly Deserts, but our experience was quite the opposite, mainly due to the waitress who seemed to be having a really bad day.
Upon arriving at around 10pm for a late dessert, I noticed the floor was unusually slippery, almost as if it had a chemical film on it. Despite this, the decor was quite nice, and I was looking forward to our experience. As we sat down, I couldn't help but notice a waitress arguing with other tables. She seemed frustrated, telling them to hurry up and order as she had other tables to attend to. This seemed to be a common occurrence, and it became clear later why.
The waitress who turned out to be quite challenging had glasses and went by the name Humna. When she approached our table, she asked if we were ready to order, and I listed our choices. Her response was a bit condescending, explaining that they were out of stock for all the desserts I had mentioned due to the high demand. She seemed to imply that this should have been obvious.
It dawned on me that the reason people were taking so long to order was that many items on the menu were unavailable. So, my wife inquired if they had anything freshly made on the premises. The waitress's response was less than satisfying: "Apart from waffles and crepes, everything is frozen – the cheesecakes, cakes, crumbles, and puddings." I was taken aback, especially considering the prices on the menu didn't match the frozen food they were serving. We reluctantly settled for crepes, waffles, and ice cream, along with some water. When my wife asked for takeaway cups for the water, things got even more interesting.
After a wait of 15 minutes, the waitress returned with four waters, each with ice in them. I politely explained that we didn't want ice in our waters, but her reply was shocking: "Do you expect me to redo these just because of ice?" I couldn't help but point out her attitude and rudeness, requesting four new waters without ice. But her response was unexpected: "I have other tables to serve and I'm very busy. People dining in don't usually get takeaway cups."
It was clear this waitress lacked manners and had a terrible attitude. I began to question why I was spending money in a place where we were being treated so poorly and served mostly frozen food. I decided it was best to leave, and we called for the manager, Adiva. I must say, Adiva was amazing and genuinely apologetic. Despite this, the fact that the restaurant employed such poor staff was a major letdown.
Adiva arranged for the waitress from hell, Humna, to apologize to me. However, her apology seemed half-hearted. She began by saying she was sorry if I felt upset but maintained she hadn't done anything wrong. She also emphasized that the cups were expensive. I pointed out the importance of courtesy and noted that their busy hours were a fortunate thing, especially in these trying times. This prompted her to raise her voice and argue her point, drawing attention from other customers. The manager had to intervene and take her away, as it was clear she wasn't sincerely apologetic.
Adiva returned and apologized once again, assuring me that this incident would be reported to the management. She expressed her regrets for the entire evening. I couldn't praise Adiva enough for her kindness and professionalism.
In conclusion, if you're interested in frozen desserts served by someone who treats you as if you're beneath them and charges a premium for it, then Heavenly Deserts might be the place for you. However, based on my experience, I'd say it's more fitting to call it "The...

My husband and I recently visited Heavenly Desserts in search of a sweet escape, but what we encountered was far from heavenly. The service we received was utterly disappointing and far below any reasonable expectations.
Upon entering the establishment, we eagerly awaited a warm welcome or at least a glance from the staff, but we were met with complete indifference. It felt as though we were invisible, as the waiters failed to acknowledge our presence or inform us that someone would be with us shortly. We stood there, growing increasingly frustrated, for a staggering 40 minutes before we were finally seated.
Our hopes for improvement were quickly shattered as we continued to endure an agonizing wait for our order to be taken. It took an additional 15 minutes for a waiter to approach our table, leaving us to question the competence and attentiveness of the staff. The lack of basic communication and courtesy is simply unacceptable in any dining establishment.
Even after our order was finally placed, our patience was tested further as we waited an additional 30 minutes for our desserts to arrive. Such a lengthy delay is unfathomable for a place that prides itself on its desserts. The experience was marred by the excruciatingly slow service, turning what should have been a delightful indulgence into a frustrating ordeal.
In a dessert-focused establishment like Heavenly Desserts, one would expect prompt service and efficiency to be top priorities. Unfortunately, the reality was a stark contrast. The staff appeared disinterested and apathetic, failing to provide even a modicum of the service one would expect.
Our visit to Heavenly Desserts left a bitter taste in our mouths, both figuratively and literally. The sheer incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction are disheartening, to say the least. As a result, we cannot in good conscience recommend this place to others who seek a pleasant dessert experience coupled with attentive service.
Heavenly Desserts must seriously address its service shortcomings if it hopes to salvage its reputation and retain customers. It is essential to prioritize training and instill a culture of customer-centricity to avoid further disappointing experiences like the one my husband...
Read moreI used to come to this branch years ago and at that time it was run really well. Complete opposite now. Order was taken pretty quickly but food took so long to arrive even though the place was empty. The staffing seems to all be young which obviously is not an issue however they clearly do not care or have been provided training. One was on his phone, another was drinking a milkshake walking around the floor, they were super loud having personal conversations which was super distracting...I cannot even put in to words how loud they were being and it was both on the shop floor and at the back. The desserts took so long to come over and 1 was not even ready..a courtesy of mentioning it will be coming in such and such time would have been nice, they did not even bring the water to the table until we had to flag them down again which was difficult since they do not even look around the place but instead focused on their own conversations and chilled at the back kitchen. At one point there were no staff on the floor. When I've been here some time ago they would come over again to make sure everything is fine after serving but there was no attention to detail here at all. It's clear there is no manager around or if there is they really need to be given the sack. Whilst the food was good these employees have ruined the experience here which made the food not enjoyable. l am glad they did not add a service charge since there clearly was no service. This place is a shell of its former self. It has now turned out as the worst of the heavenly branches in the East of London side in my opinion. Such a shame. Can never recommend this place again and will never come again
If the owner wants to know when this took place it was today 8th June, arrive at 9:20pm. I will not email about this. The owner clearly does not care since they respond with the generic "email for feedback". All information has been put on here. Reading other reviews they have had similar experiences. Sort this mess out even though youve lost...
