I have been coming here for many years and I really love this food, so it saddens me greatly to leave such a review, but the management today really upset me. Thank you ms manager whom I have decided not to name on this review…. Yes turned out the lady was the manager! Often I take advantage of itsu’s very generous half price end of day offer, if I am local to an itsu at dinner time. Today was one of those days. Also Occasionally when I’m out on the move between jobs and not going home, I’ll quickly devour what I’ve been lucky enough to catch. Today again was one of those days. Never had a problem before, until today. One staff member started complaining, quite loudly I may add, about something to do with take away customers. I didn’t pay much attention as it’s rude to eves drop, however upon my departure I cleared my table, took it to the bin and threw it in. Trying to be a good customer and reduce the workload for the staff. It turns out the bin bag was missing And empty boxes fell onto the base of the unit making a bit of a mess. A young lady came over muttering angrily under her breath, I apologised as I picked up all the mess of boxes and empty packets of sauce etc… took them to the till, apologised for the mess I had caused again, only to be greeted by a barrage of rude retort from lady the manager. I tried to help, AND I apologised but she just couldn’t let it go. It would be a one star if it wasn’t for the many years of delicious food I’ve been eating from these establishments.

I just had a delightful lunch at Itsu in Kingston - it’s a perfect spot for a quick bite. The setup is super efficient: grab what you like from the fridge, order hot dishes on the screen, pay, and you’re all set. It’s a popular place, so finding a seat can be a bit of a scramble around lunchtime, and you might end up sharing a table. But it’s worth it for their awesome sushi deals. Great for a speedy yet satisfying meal!

So nice to see businesses open again. Itsu is in the centre of Kingston. There is a good selection of Sushi and various other foods. Self service, plenty of seating and some seating outside. I am glad that l have come across this place as l don't always want a heavy meal. I imagine it can get busy, but l enjoyed my experience of eating here.

Today's experience was poor - be warned! My family and I stopped in for lunch. We selected our food and queued to pay. The restaurant was busy. We spotted an empty table and I told my two children to sit at it while I paid. The cashier asked if I wanted to take away or eat in. I replied, "eat in" at which point she asked if I had a table. I pointed to my children and said that we had just sat there. She said, "good" and charged me for the food, reminding me that I should also scan the QR code at the table for NHS tracing purposes. As I made my way to the table I was met by my kids who told me they had been asked to leave the table by another member of staff so a different family could sit there. I queried this and was told I should have reserved the table before paying. We then had to stand in the middle of the restaurant waiting for another table to come free, while our food got cold. I know we all have to make an effort during this pandemic, but this was very disappointing. Sushi was...

The only reason I’m skipping the final 2 stars for itsu is that they don’t list their ingredients used, however only list certain ingredients in items with food allergies. The reason I’d like to look is generally I live an organic plant based diet with no processed sugar, GMO and also certain oils. Generally when I’m out and about if there isn’t a planet organic, These guys aren’t far away. Itsu is definitely one of the better high street fast food choices that’s for sure! The lack of 2 stars has nothing to do with service, product availability or atmosphere. The staff are amazing, always a friendly place and everything is to your liking. Itsu if you see this, please look into serving an organic option using no additives, preservatives and using healthy oils such as coconut or hemp...
