Do yourself a favour and don't bother stopping here. Start queueing and the staff tell you that you can sit and order from the table via QR code and they will bring your order.

After doing this and selecting the entire order the app doesn't work so go and rejoin the queue with everyone else who has just realised the app doesn't work.

The queueing system ends at the coffee machine but you can't get out because everyone waiting for their coffee orders are now blocking the way.

Despite being in England, the land of Tea, all the tea orders are done by the one person who also makes the coffee and is done in order so you have to wait for ages to get your cup of hot water with a tea bag thrown in, then go and add your own milk and sugar.

Seriously, you might as well have an instant hot water dispenser on the wall and just give customers their mug and tea bag when they order a cup. But then you would struggle even harder to justify the 8.10 pounds charge for 3 cups of hot water and 3 tea bags.

For a place designed for a large amount of visitors my kids school canteen is run better. In 2024 how hard can it be for managers and board members of large organisations like this to review their customer service offerings and improve efficiencies so that A) Customer service is excellent B) Customer throughput is seamless and increased.

Not only does it make customers happier and more likely to return it allows more customers to flow through and buy more product. The Cafe represents the museum and an overall great experience makes customers more likely to see value in the museum and donate on the way out.

If this was my business I would have it written as a standard operating procedure for the manager of the day to review all Google reviews and customer feedback from the day before and log how they had improved, mitigated or removed the...

The café inside the museum was a delightful discovery. After spending hours admiring the artwork, this café was the perfect spot to take a break and recharge. The staff was friendly and professional, with in-depth knowledge of the products offered, specially the supervisor. The coffee was exceptional, prepared with care and passion. The selection of pastries and snacks was varied and of high quality. The price was reasonable, considering the location and quality of service. I highly recommend this café to anyone visiting the museum. It's an experience that will complement your visit and leave you with an...

I had the pleasure of visiting the IWM Café on March 14th and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the Italian supervisor. Her kindness and expertise were evident throughout my visit, making the experience truly delightful. She went above and beyond to ensure that all customers felt welcomed and attended to, demonstrating a deep understanding of hospitality. Her professional demeanor and warm approach significantly enhanced the atmosphere of the café. I highly recommend the IWM Café, not only for its quality offerings but also for the outstanding leadership exemplified by this...

Paid nearly £30 for 2 bowls of chips, a cheese toastie with barely any cheese and no actual toast. A cheese and ham baguette that was really cold (like fresh from a fridge) and 2 okay enough teas. Staff seemed like they didn't really know what they were doing if it was outside of their normal tasks. I asked for mayonnaise, as we requested it when we placed our order and they asked 'any ketchup or mayonnaise?', and the staff member looked as if I had him to build me a rocket. I then had to ask another staff member who went and got some but brought back a tiny bowl with a tiny dollop of mayonnaise.

Great exhibition on Britain's involvement in the First World War and the life and experiences of soldiers in that conflict. Assorted exhibits other conflicts since then with impressive artefacts and concise write-ups on them. Top floor has an exhibit dedicated to the recipients of the Victorian Cross for gallantry. My favourite museum in London so far. The Great War main exhibit is well curated and has a logical linear flow. Newly refurbished and reopened in 2014.

Very pleasant space, lots of seating. Staff very friendly and efficient. Chips were nice, the Spitfire sausage roll was rank - texture extremely rubbery and I’m assuming very cheap meat- we’re taking it home for the dog. They had no mayonnaise when we asked, and we got given about 1/2 inch of ketchup with our chips. Would return and try some coffee and cake or pastries :)
