We've been here a few times for dinner and drinks, and have been blown away every time! The food is phenomenal; freshly made with great care, and full of flavour. The menu changes regularly and is always full of inventive options. I'm a vegetarian and really appreciate there being multiple options for me!

We tried their Sunday roast to, and it's everything you could ask for. Lashings of gravy, perfectly cooked veg, and a yorkshire pudding the size of your face!

The drink selection is great; a good variety of beers on draught, and bottled. We aren't wine drinkers, but if we were we know we'd love the menu :) they also offer cocktails.

The interior is really cool! Lots of art from various bands / musicians. Naturally the music played is really good too! And at a very comfortable volume (too often you have to shout over music in a pub!) I'd love to get hold of the playlist :)

Finally, the staff are incredibly, genuinely friendly and the service is perfect; attentive without being overbearing :)

Really cannot fault the place. We look forward to...

Based on reviews we were really looking forward to our Lunch at the Albert arms. There was a group of 6 of us and they were busy so when we booked there was only room in the bar area so we appreciated that. The service was good, staff friendly and a good atmosphere. The food however let the place down a little, 2 of our party had the pate to start, it was chicken liver spread than a pate (almost liquid) however the prawn cocktail and the mushroom toast with crispy poached egg were lovely, for mains the pork cheek and fish and chips were good, the steak (for 2 people) however came out stone cold so we returned them and they cooked us 2 more, when they came out they were still not that hot and quite frankly they were over cooked on the outside, almost burned giving them a bitter taste and then covered in enough garlic to scare off a million vampires. In conclusion, a nice pub with good beer and good attentive and friendly staff but the food is...

I was trying to find somewhere in the Waterloo area for my birthday as I had friends coming from different parts of town. I booked a table for 8 a week before and Sam was really responsive during the week before as the original number was 11. We spent about 3 hours in the pub and everybody ate. I had the duck and I was very impressed - beautifully done and all of my friends were also really pleased with their meals. Selection of beer was good as was the general vibe of the place, nice laid-back gastropub with good service which was exactly the vibe I wanted. The only surprise was that they weren't busier - it was about half full when I would have expected it to be packed on a Saturday night. Really pleased with the choice I made and thanks to the staff, particularly the guy with the glasses behind the bar who was very attentive. Would highly recommend a visit if...

Visited twice since I was staying in an AirBnB down the street. First time was on Saturday afternoon and just had a pint of Murphys. Girl behind the bar was very personable. Asked about the Sunday Roast the next day and she said they were fully booked. (Sad because it was on my "to have" list.) Dropped by on Sunday about 2P and they couldn't help me and said the kitchen wouldn't be serving their menu until 5. I ran back at 5P, asked about the Sunday Roast but was told "sorry". I told John, behind the bar, I was from the U.S. and really want to try a Sunday Roast. He checked and they said they'd serve me. The Sunday Roast (beef) exceeded my expectations and John's service was very personable. Thanks to all the staff at The Albert Arms for marking something off my "to do" list. Oh, and I also had the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Custard Sauce! Yum!!

Two new experiences on this trip to London - firstly a ride in an electric taxi and secondly a beer in in a no-cash pub. Even packets of crisps would be bought with a swipe of your plastic. The Albert Arms must be one of the first pubs that are cashless - a trend that will I'm sure be on the accent. But it was also on the Cask Marquee Ale Trail and therefore needed a visit - flexible friend in hand. Ralph, our barman on this day, needed some instant erudition regarding The Trail, but understandably, given the pubs let motif, embraced it enthusiastically when shown the Smartphone app. The beer (the purpose of the visit) was excellent and fully justifying the Cask Marque accreditation.

A nice pub with a good wine list! We had dinner here and the mains were generously sized and very tasty (with great chips!) - I had the bavette steak which was cooked to my liking, and others had the pie (cooked fresh to order), fish and chips (which was HUGE) and the burger. Puddings were a bit disappointing for the price: £8 for a sticky toffee pudding which was quite a dense/grainy sponge and would have benefitted from a bigger scoop of ice cream, and £9.50 for a rather disappointing cheeseboard... Overall would recommend for anyone in the market for a good drink and some classic gastro pub meal (but maybe pass on the puds)
