Excellent music, not too loud (Saturday was Reggae).
Truly exceptional food! Every single thing we ordered was superb, not at all what you'd expect of pub food. House made.
The Cheese puffs are friend cheese balls like you've never had before, with a mix of cheddar and cream cheese. Everybody was bowled over by these.
The fries with gravy and cheese were like Canadian Poutine.
The Langosh ā Hungarian Fried Potato Bread, Garlic Yoghurt, Parmesan, Zaāatar was brilliant - the bread itself was superb and with the savory and tart toppings we all agreed this checked nearly every box.
The Merguez Sausages, Tzatziki, Tomato Chutney, Straw Fries were spicy and delectable.
And the desserts! Basque Baked Cheesecake, Rhubarb and Blood Orange. And little balls of chocolate and coconut on top of a raspberry coulis were heavenly.
The manager and all the staff were super friendly and helpful.
My mates absolutely loved our time there and look forward to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have only been here 3 times. First time just over a month ago, great chef cooking BBQ and other dishes was just lovely. Peppered steak was just the best I have ever had. Now though a very basic worker, no experience of working in a kitchen, no health and hygiene certificates and basic frozen food deep fried to death. I went last Saturday and had been sick from Sunday to Wednesday. Now unfortunately i am going to report to Environmental health as my doctor suggests I ate something that hadn't been handled or cooked well. The only place I ate this weekend was here. I will not go there again, and now seeing all the bad reviews re the bar staff, I am glad I took my own bottle of water in with me and my friend who I went with (who didnt eat) dealt with the rude barman. How can you go from so good to so bad in...
