Visited this resturant in March with my daughter. It's located between Deptford Theatre and Deptford train station in a new gentrified area bringing must needed business in a once derelict area. The restaurant is surrounded by bars & other themed resturants.

Salt resturant has large windows bringing in natural light to the resturants. There is a combinations of both high stools and low tables. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was a mixed crowd of young families and both young & middle aged couples. Dogs welcomed.

Our young waitress was very friendly, unfortunately half way through our visit, she finished and the next shift of staff didn't seem to be as attentive. We ordered a margarita pizza, garlic bread & salad to share. The bottom of our pizza had burnt remains attached, imo the pizza oven needed a good clean. The ingredients on pizza were fresh and tasty. The salad consisted of rockets leaves, pine nuts and parmesan cheeses, very nice £4 but could have offered a larger portion. Unfortunately the garlic bread was unedible. Way too much garlic! I love garlic but this was garlic overload, so much so it stung my mouth to eat. Complained when we asked for bill, waiter said yes there has been many complaints, when he had some for his lunch he made sure to eat chewing gum after!!!!

The salt resturant has alot of beers on tap and I've a feeling thus place would be buzzing for evening drinkers.

Toilet checks need to be more frequent. Service included. Unless I'm in the area again I wouldn't go out of my way...

Average pizza, confusing service. My friend and I went there to eat after a long day walking in the park (we were very hungry). When we got there, we were politely waiting to sit down before one of the staff members said "oh this isn't a restaurant, it's a bar that serves food to drunk people". I think this was her way of communicating that there was no table service. It's just a bit confusing to say that it's "not a restaurant" when there's a great big f*ck off wood fired pizza oven flaming away in the background. Anyway, the pizza showed a lot of promise whilst still on the menu - lots of interesting toppings and combinations. I had the Nduja and my friend had the Kale. Both were well flavoured and the dough was cooked almost to perfection, but what really let it down was the distribution of said toppings. In places, it looked like it had been applied with a catapult, creating clumps of topping in random, somewhat inconvenient places. All things considered I get it - that's a high quality problem, but it was a bit disappointing nonetheless, and it's not exactly cheap. Whilst all this is going on, the condiments (chilli and garlic oil) that were laying in wait for prime time crust dipping fell far short of the mark. We actually questioned whether or not they were made of real olive oil. Weirdly thin in consistency and the chilli oil had no flavour at all. My friend tried the garlic oil and the taste was questionable (not garlic). Bar lady was really nice and charged my friend's...

We gave them many chances as we are living near by. Pizza is ok when you get it, Unfortunately there are many occasions when it’s sadly impossible. They are often running out of cheese or dough and might stop serving pizza although you are there at 20.30 and the kitchen was suppose to be open till 21.00 as stated on the sign at the door. Especially yesterday when we weren’t able to get a pizza anymore the service was particularly unpleasant. I was working for over a decade in a restaurant myself and i know how easy it is to be polite especially because we didn’t do anything wrong besides asking for a pizza. Another table literally just received their pizzas and the kitchen was visibly fully staffed and just finished the previous order. As mentioned we also arrived in time, nevertheless the lady behind the bar was arrogant and uninterested in our presence and made the call not to serve us pizza anymore. This incident was sadly one too much.

Just to make that clear, if the person behind the bar wouldn’t have been treating us this way, I only would have stopped coming but my partner is a very good person and to be mean to him is...

I ate here on 8th Sep with my sister and nearly didn't bother doing a review, but here goes: The pizza looked great when it arrived but the vegan cheese was watery and flavourless and the other ingredients were not particularly flavoursome so the pizza was pretty bland - we were excited as you can see from the pics but actually ended up disappointed. What also made the experience a disappointment was that the staff member who took our order was curt, disinterested in serving and seemingly annoyed/amused (smirked) that we asked for vegan cheese! Afterwards we thought it was quite funny, but it wasn't a pleasant or tasty experience so I would not recommend it to anyone.
