I usually not go for fried breakfast but today i happen to pass by Acton station and this looked like one of those traditional cafe/restaurant to try. I was truly horrified by the experience. I asked for sussage/egg/beans/toast which came with tea or coffee. They served my plate with no cutlery and the girl just walked away, meaning i had to eat with my hands, after i asked they brought the cutlery with no apologies either. Then i started the food, it smell so oily and seemed the oil was not changed for ages it was totally off putting from the start, presentstion was very poor. The sussage tasted horrible, mushroom was dry and tasteless and worse of all the toast that they served me was burned brushed with some butter to make soft. It was a disaster. Even the coffee tasted so horrible. I didn't finished my plate and when i paid i mentioned to the cashier the problem i experience but seemed they didn't care less, not even a single apology.
I honestly have no clue where all these good reviews are come from?! I am amazed by these 3 and 4 stars, but i have a serious concern over the food hygine and service of that place and will never go there again. The only item in that plate which was eaten was the egg and bit of beans the rest was good for the bin.
I honestly had bad stomach ache shortly afterwards. Please sort out your food, change that rubbish sussage you giving to people and teach your staff to show they care and they listen when customer tell them things are wrong. NEVER again. I hope your managements listen and make...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for 2 years, being a local and have always loved the food and service. Today was a poor experience. The wait staff wasn’t keen to take on the feedback so posting here instead.
Having ordered a bap, I was given a hard crusty baguette and told that they were out of soft rolls. I understand this can happen and it’s not in their control.
However I’d expect this to be communicated on ordering or when it was being made and not just be given a different item without even being informed or given an apology.
The bread was very difficult to eat being hard and grazed by gum and I had to send it back. Not even an apology. Don’t think I’ll...
Read more£6.90 for a small breakfast (pictured) consisting of bacon, egg, sausage, beans, toast, and coffee or tea. While not overwhelmingly pricey, you'll be better served by ordering the components you desire individually if you don't fancy bacon (e.g. egg, sausage, bubble, beans, and coffee cost ~£5.90). Quality of the food was above average, but the toast was soggier than desired. Venue-wise, the seats are comfortable, the tables are clean, and the atmosphere casual...
