The Apple Tree — Restaurant in London

Calling all coffee lovers! The best coffee in the whole of London in my experience. Im a true coffee addict and have been coming here for two years now. It surpasses anything by Costa or Starbucks at least. I've yet to taste a better coffee elsewhere in London where I have lived my whole life and Ive tried loads of places. It just has a totally unique taste, a lovely fresh roasted coffee aroma; not too bitter or too sweet - just right. The staff are always so friendly and smiley. I now make a point to stop off at Acton Town underground station just to grab a coffee here every single day. Including my days off sometimes! They have built up a cult following of regulars who I now also recognise when I'm in there. They also do fresh smoothies and decent cakes. It's a small tiny shop, not one for sitting in to be honest, but the quality of coffee and service is just superb! With regard to the cakes, please avoid. We tried once, weren't impressed with the freshness. One afternoon last week, desperate for a cake fix during rainy day, my husband stopped by and got two slices - tiramisu and some other cake with nut topping. We thought we will give it another go. The cakes were simply inedible ! So stale and old. Must have stood there for days. We will never return unfortunately even though it’s round the corner...

Brilliant coffee, amazing cakes and the best service. I ordered a cake which had been incorrectly labelled, when the waitress checked with me to see if that was the one I wanted she made a different suggestion, which I went with (the red velvet cheesecake) and was VERY very happy! I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a decent...
