Kat Coffee Company — Restaurant in London

I went to this coffee shop 2-3x a week for about a year. The staff always seemed sad so I thought I'd to try to make them happy by tipping every time. One day, the new girl didn't make the mocha the way I usually have it, I presume because she was new and didn't know how to do it. I asked the blonde girl (whom at this point I must have given about £30 in tips) if she could correct the error and make the mocha. She refused. Imagine being a regular at a place, tipping every time to staff who wouldn't meet your eye or even give a proper greeting, to be told that they won't remake a drink for you. I was so sad I left the bad mocha there and walked a mile to another coffee store with tears in my eyes. I called my friend and cried. haven't been back since. Hopefully by now the team are better and actually greet people, look them in the eye and maybe don't mope around on the tables taking naps during their break. I once met the owner who seemed really lovely. I hope this place has success but I feel they do need to hire happier people. Maybe since my experience a year ago, they already have. We had an awful experience at Kat Coffee. We waited 15 min to be served. And following that it took them 20 min to make the 3 juices we had ordered. There was 1 person working behind the till and another person there as well but not helping out. I went to ask for the drinks after 10 min and was told to just wait outside. My son finally saw his drinks ready on the till but it was then given away to another customer who arrived long after us. When I went to ask for them I was told they were almost ready. I could see 2 ready but not the 3rd juice I had ordered. I asked if this could really be right that we had to wait for 3 simple drinks. The cafe had meanwhile been filled up with several people who were all served. Terrible service. I shall not be coming there again. Staff ruined this lovely little spot for me. Decor is cute with the wooden tables giving a rustic feel couples with the location to give a nice overall vibe. But aloof staff, (who awkwardly slump around the tables on their break. Sometimes literally sleeping) won't give you the dignity of eye contact or even a courteous smile even if you're a regular. Wouldn't remake drink for me (up to usual standard) when I asked politely which I found upsetting as I was a regular who was tipping £1-2 every time for months. Wanted to get in touch with the owner but there's no way of contacting them through website. Pastries awful and overpriced. I hope they leave this place so a deserving team can take over and give the space the good energy...
