Only thing you hear once an order goes through is shouting but that’s as far as communication goes. I understand the other poor reviews now.
Service was a massive let-down as, after I enquired about a substitution, (1.99 sweetcorn INSTEAD of 2.29 fries because I tend to feel unwell after eating the fries) and was bluntly told no, the woman serving me walked away without actually taking my order.
At that point I should have left but I bought the meal anyway (including the fries going straight to the bin) and wasn’t given a receipt. I spoke to who seemed to be thr supervisor to explain and also asked for a can instead of cup for my drink as I am on-foot around the hill for 2 miles home. Was told no, which is fine, but at no point were staff accommodating nor did they offer alternative options for my queries. He did give me the receipt though.
Made sure to thank them on leaving knowing I won’t be returning.
I hope a manager sees this and puts everyone customer-facing through some training because surely that is not how you take an order by walking away before the guest has actually ordered! I worked in hospitality for years and know it can be busy and tiring sometimes but there were 3 additional guests and 2 had been served already. Read moreI’ve visited this KFC location a few times, hoping for a better experience each time, but unfortunately, the service and cleanliness remain consistently disappointing. There’s an older Asian woman behind the desk who is particularly unfriendly and impolite. She never says thank you, throws the food at you, and if you ask for anything, she looks at you like you’re a nuisance. Her attitude is quite off-putting.
On top of that, I normally go on weekdays during lunchtime, and the place is disgustingly unclean. Tables are left dirty and unattended, and the trash bins are always overflowing because they aren’t emptied often enough.
I understand that this is a fast-food restaurant, and I don’t expect royal treatment, but a basic level of respect and cleanliness should be a given.
I’ve given this place multiple chances on different days, thinking everyone can have a bad day, but her demeanor has been consistently negative. Clearly, she seems unhappy with her job and it shows. Despite me ordering online before i arrived they only started preparing it when I asked the status some time after arriving. Also, my bucket of six had five legs and only one breast which was disappointing. The atmosphere was not great as some customer had a go at the staff until they got free chips. So not the best KFC experience I have had.
Four months after that review, I have tried again. Still like a bad cosplay of a good KFC. I sat down before realising the seat was wet. The indifferent staff walk around not noticing it, like people asked to act normally by someone with a gun who has taken the place hostage. The food was not great, despite me having had three beers before getting here. Who knows how bad it would have tasted otherwise. Obviously the toilets were disgusting with a blocked urinal, no soap and skid marks on the toilet. I need to learn this KFC is off limits, and just go to other KFC when I am on holiday...
