I ordered two of Bibimbap - a rice bowl with chicken terkiyaki, sautéed vegetables, a fried egg (yes the egg) with a sweet and spicy sauce.
I’ve had this dish twice already this week and it’s delicious! Ordered and collected and couldn’t wait to get home and eat! Got in and noticed the first meal - the middle of the egg wasn’t cooked at all! I mean there is runny and there is the egg actually running away from the food! So I checked the second meal and they were nearly the same, again not cooked in the middle. We couldn’t eat this so I called them and explained what had happened. Now if it was only one dish, fine - I would have binned the egg but the other meal was just as bad. Both eggs yorks had sunk to the bottom of the meal. The egg whites were way too runny/ jelly like consistency.
So we spoke and they gave me 30mins to get back to them and collect a refund. Supposedly the manager Mo’ was leaving early. Okay, no problem, so I left immediately after the phone call. This was a Friday night by the way, still hungry, no food and now dashing back to get a refund on a time frame. Seriously! SMH
Throughout, the person that served me and dealt with the phone call was Luke - awesome dude, polite and kind. Give this man a raise! He fully deserves it.
So yeah! There could have been a number of reasons as to why he may have not cooked eggs properly but dude still wanted to serve them to a customer? Salmonella?!
As mentioned, I’ve had this dish twice already this week and I know what it tastes like and it’s delicious.
And this wasn’t it!
Manager, Mo: Defensive straight off bat as he cooked the eggs. He said to me he been making this dish for 9yrs, erm okay…
He started telling me what traditional Korean food is lol. With this type of egg 🤦🏽♂️
He has no idea what I do as a foodie lol
I offered to show him videos + photos of the food he made (twice) in which he replied, no.
Even when I was getting the refund, it was awkward, just run the refund so I can leave man! It’s Friday night, I’m hungry and I still need to find dinner!
This spot has been opened for just nearly 2 years now and I won’t be returning. It’s a shame, menu/ food is nice, it’s just a shame about the manager + accountability.

Read moreThe style of the restaurant is very much like the Wasabi stores you see in London so I was eager to try it out, but I can’t say the food is really comparable, unfortunately. Don’t know what the other reviews are about, but I had some veggie sushi, the spicy tofu with rice, and the vegetable yakisoba— I wanted to try some other things, but they didn’t have them when I went in.
The veggie sushi was just fine: I would say on the same level as good cheap sushi you can get anywhere. The spicy tofu was spicy… and devoid of any other flavour and I mean ANY other flavour, it just tasted of nothing except where it was spicy. The yakisoba was also incredibly bland and I couldn’t bring myself to eat it after the tofu— I re-fried it the next day with some sauce and spices, so I guess you can say the actual ingredients are good and fresh because they did alright in the fridge overnight. I also got a drink and some deserts, but that’s all pre-packaged stuff. I spent… almost £23?
Extremely underwhelming, which is a shame really because I was looking forward to having an easily accessible Japanese place nearby. I feel kind of bad not having anything positive to say about it but, the people working there were...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews but I thought I could save people some money, time and disappointment. Recently opened, thought we would give this new place a try. Paid nearly £15 for 2 portions of sweet and sour chicken with noodles, which was heated in a microwave before us. The chicken looked strange from the start, small pieces covered majorly in skin. Chicken was of really poor quality, unpleasant and chewy with an off-putting aftertaste. We could not eat more than two bites of what they gave us.
I knew someone who used to work in a food joint and he told me that they would keep the quality parts of the meat like breast etc and the rest of the chicken would be placed in a meat blender or cut up and those pieces would be coated in a sauce to be served to customers (parts like chicken feet, arms, legs and you can imagine what else..). After leaving we had this irritating feeling in our stomachs but thankfully nothing worse. Wishing everyone reading this...
