So disappointed with the restaurant as I do like PREZZO in general. I have booked the table for the Valentines day without any issues. When we got there with my wife, we were seated on the table that was really wobbly and it was shaking from side to side. I later asked if we can get another table so we were moved. When ordering the food Asian waitress seemed like she doesn't have any care in a world. When I asked her about the menu she laugh at me by me not knowing what is what, but explained it in a rude manner. When the food was served, the only thing that I have enjoyed, out of the whole meal when dining out were prawns. The baked mushrooms were under cooked, soft, and with garlic pieces not melted inside. The grilled chicken that we ordered was sour to taste and burned beyond the believe. I do understand that on the Valentines day restaurants get busy, but if you cannot serve so many customers why allowing them to enter? As mentioned earlier about the wobbly table, it was taken away later, along with 10 more similar tables, they were extra tables brought out because it was so busy. Regret going to Enfield Restaurant, Chingford PREZZO is so much better.

Some of the most friendly staff I’ve experienced, the duty manager was so kind and helpful and very attentive. We went in on a day where they were short on staff but still delivered friendly, quality service. The place is huge, with an outdoors seating area even bigger than the indoors. The vibe is simple dinning, not too fancy not too playful. Spacing between tables are very good. Music doesn’t overpower your conversations. Food was good, I dug in as soon as it arrived so didn’t take any pics 😅 but I ordered a vegan chicken pizza which was not bad. My friend ordered a beef burger which she loved! And my other friend ordered the pepperoni pizza which he also loved. I’m a bit spoilt as I’ve eaten at some very fancy vegan places and had better vegan pizza, but the one here was still quite good. For drinks I got their espresso martini, I actually really liked it. It’s my first espresso martini so don’t take my word for it, but it was nice. Prices are good, we got a starter, 3 meals and 3 drinks and the total was about £60. I should mention they didn’t charge us for the starter because it arrived quite late. 10/10 would recommend.

I have eaten here previously and quite enjoyed it. However this visit was disappointing. On a positive note the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The downside is that it took a long time for my starter of king prawns al forno (£9) to arrive. It was a reasonably tasty dish. For mains I had the chicken milanese with fries (£19). The chicken was so dry and tough that I could barely eat half of it. For dessert I had caramel sundae with baileys (8.75), it was pretty average. For drinks I had a double Johnnie Walker (£9.25). In total the bill came to £46, excluding service. For that price, in Enfield, I would expect better food. In summary a disappointing meal.

I don’t really know where to start. Perhaps I will begin with a sub-title…

Fawlty Towers / ‘Computer says no’

And then a list..

1 - When we arrived we were welcomed and asked by the manager, if we had a reservation. We did not.. but he found us a place. I looked around and I could see there were lots of tables free…but I left it at that 2 - Myself and my daughter went the toilet and one of the locks didn’t work 3 - Several other people came in to try and get a table and they were told ‘no’ - even thought there were lots of tables, they didn’t come back (the manager said there would be space in 15 mins) 4 - Whilst we were sitting there the person behind was loudly complained about the service to the manager ‘Nico’. She explained that she hadn’t had drinks she had ordered or food. She was quite rude but was offered no compensation - a loud argument carried on between her and the manager 5 - They took AGES to take our order and even then as the waitress was talking our order another customer came over and complained 6 - Our food took ages and when it did come our adult starter was smaller than the kids starter.. 7 - Eventually we got our mains (again a long wait) and these were a tiny bit bigger than the kids portions.. 8 - Then we heard more arguments and discussions. One person came in and sat at an empty table and was told by the manager, ‘who sat you here?’ She pointed at the waitress who had earlier served us and was then told to move. The manager went and argued with the waitress. 9 - Another party seated near us complained they couldn’t use the app or get an offer he explained you had to use the app only.. 10 - The people who has moved asked about an offer and the sizes of the starters the waitress disagreed with them and shortly after they left. 11 - Shortly before paying we were confused by using the Club Prezzo app and getting the ‘kids eat free’ we explained this and then said could we get the free dessert (as advertised on the table) and the manger said, ‘no just for the app’ we explained that we couldn’t use the app and felt this was unfair he shrugged his shoulders. 12 - I asked if I could use my Blue Light Discount with the ‘kids eat free’ he said ‘no’ I said I’m sure I could and read out the terms and conditions. He then agreed to scan the QR code and it worked, along with the Club Prezzo app discount (still no free dessert though). 13 - I explained the two types of service (app v’a in person) was really confusing for customers. I said that as a customer we should just all get the same access to food and offers. Again he shrugged his shoulders, he seemed as confused as us.

We left feeling hungry, and frankly ripped off.

The only reason we go to Prezzo because our daughter loves Prezzo. We however are starting to feel that despite this we can not take this...

We visited on Monday 2nd June lured in by the 99p main offer.

We were 2 large parties, 10+6 and booked via the app as 2 separate parties, we called after booking to ask that we were seated next to each other. We gave both names and were told this would be arranged.

On arrival we were shown a table downstairs, nowhere near the other party. We explained that we had called and were told we would be seated together only to be told this would not be possible as they had 400 bookings this evening. We pushed and were shown to another table upstairs, still nowhere near the other party. There was an empty table of 8 next to the other party, we asked if we could be seated there and were told by a different member of staff that this wouldn't be possible as they had 300 bookings today. We ended up being moved to a third table, next to the other party, separated by a wall. We kept being told by different members of staff that we couldn't be moved closer as it was too complicated , we wouldn't understand the system and we were then told the party of 8 had requested a window table. It seemed the staff were actively going out of their way to not seat us together. Explaining to a 3 year old that he couldn't be near his cousins made for a difficult evening for everyone.

We eventually ordered with a server after some trouble with the app, our drinks order was wrong, we were also missing side salads. That said, the food was nice.

Our bill arrived and we had been charged for garlic butters when we asked for garlic oil and we had also been charged for the missing salads. We asked for those items and the service to be removed, it took us a further 10 minutes to pay the bill.

We had been in the restaurant for over 2 hours and the table of 8 remained empty throughout our stay. Every table in our area made a complaint about something or other. Overall a very...

Unfortunately our trip to Prezzo was a big let down and spoilt my son’s 18th birthday. We chose Prezzo in particular because I had been sent a few discount codes from Prezzo by email which made sense to use. Upon arriving at Prezzo Enfield we were shown to our table and left for what felt like 20 minutes. When we ordered I explained I had vouchers which we could use as I read the t&cs and knew that they could be used together. The waitress seemed to agree but when I came time to pay she was not so sure and I’d seen other tables also have the same problem. Seemed like everyone was disputing the vouchers. We were told we could order free dough balls and the free birthday cake. Then a little while later the waitress said the chef had closed the kitchen (at 8.30pm) and was no longer cooking and we couldn’t have the free cake. I’d never heard of anything so ridiculous! So what about the customers who had just arrived? They weren’t being turned away so obviously the kitchen wasn’t closed but they just didn’t want to honour the discounts they themselves were advertising. It feels like they draw you in with these promotions and then dispute them at payment time, trying to embarrass customers making them feel like they’ve done something wrong when in fact Prezzo uses these discounts as a ruse to get custom. This has actually happened to me on more than one occasion and the staff seem unapologetic and make up excuses like the kitchen is closed in order to avoid the discounts!! Don’t think I’ll be returning after spoiling my sons birthday....
