The Kings Head Enfield — Restaurant in London

It would be a 5star if not for the rude doorman. I was initially so disappointed by him that I was going to rate the place 1star, but that's not fair on the establishment because of one bad egg.

A real shame because the pub itself is lovely and my local. But tonight put me off ever going back.

What happened was trivial but here it is: My friend and I (both women) were initially let in no problem. We ordered a drink each, saw some people we know, and then my friend wanted to go outside to vape so I went with her. The doorman saw us walk past him and stand a couple metres away from the door. We were outside for maybe 5mins, within his view. We then head back in and the doorman tells us NO. For absolutely no reason. There were less people in there than when we walked out because we saw People leave, so it wasn't that it was at full capacity. Surprised, we told him that we had only come outside to vape, to which he said that we didn't. We know full well that he saw us walk out, because we even pointed out how tight it was exiting without pushing the door onto him. Anyway I didn't waste my time with him, after he said no and made out we were lying about having been inside, I just rolled my eyes, said OK and walked off. It was only then that he said we can go back in 🤯 🤦‍♀️

We didn't of course. Not sure why he was doing that, if he enjoyed the power trip maybe. I have no idea.

If we were drunk or loud or anything like that, fair enough, or if there was no more room inside, also completely understand. But none of that was the case.

Anyway.

Go there in the daytime maybe before they have the fellas...

I came here as a colleague said there steak recommendations was good came here to no steak , apprently removed a week ago

Wich is weird as this is a pub

The wings was just wings with bbq sauce no seasoning plain

Then my mate ordered a drink to wich he said only a splash and was rudely told that’s our fault so buy a new drink it’s not coming off me

I know we’re just a pub but surely you can treat new guest a bit better and be more welcoming

I’m sorry if you want staff that a knows what there doing as the first staff member said I don’t drink a blue lagoon

Better welcome and happier bar staff go O’Neill that laugh with you they smile music is good and welcome strangers like family

Here being a cultured woman feel like a animal in a zoo and uncomfortable we’re in 2025 I should not have to be made to feel like this

I didn’t even bother to order more food

I think they need to hire more cultured people who know how to build...

We went here today and we were told we could order food from the food truck outside as they only have pizza in the kitchen as long as we order a beverage. The server staff apologized as she thought we were allowed but one of the managers who had purple hair came out and told us off. she stated we couldn't eat food here from outside and when we tried to explain she stated that she didn't care.

This is such a horrible experience as this is actually the first time we have been out since lockdown. The management here need training in customer service as she just gave us a stern warning and was very rude. I will not be coming back and would not recommend this place.

We came in as four Asian people and I don't know if this was an attack but to be honest we were offended as we felt she wanted us leave. We tried to finish our drinks and we left.

This was not the servers fault as the manager didn't...
