I went to LEON this week for the first time in several years, remembering it as a solid place to eat. However, I was appalled to find that the menu has been slashed in half since before COVID, with many of my favourite dishes completely wiped out. It’s infuriating to witness such a drastic downgrade from what was once a well-curated and genuinely interesting offering. The variety and quality have been gutted while it is still expensive! Frankly, it feels like a lazy, short-sighted decision driven entirely by cost-cutting rather than any real regard for customers.
On top of that, the meal itself was a major let-down. I ordered the “Aioli Chicken,” which I remembered fondly—but they’ve ruined that too. Gone are the pomegranates that gave it flavour. Gone are the free salads that used to come with every box. Instead, the portions are noticeably smaller and drowning in mayonnaise—neither good value nor remotely healthy. To make matters worse, the man serving failed to include a £3.50 salad I paid for. By the time I got home—20 minutes away—it was too late to go back. This is the first time an established restaurant has failed to give me what I asked for.
In the end, I paid for an overpriced, unhealthy, small, mayonnaise-filled box with no salad. A sad decline. I won’t be returning unless serious...
Read moreIt deserves every one of its stars. Look at the prices for food ! Look at its opening times ! Look at the breakfast range ! You could have cereal, hot muffin or a hot pot plus a drink and be full enough to last till 2 pm on the portions they serve. The white peach tea is a lovely accompaniment to most dishes including salad. The salads are the only items that lack a little oomph. The problem isn't texture it's dressing and as much as they put out iced mint water for free ld like dressings by the cutlery as well, not in pots. Just niggling though. I never come out if here less than satisfied appetite wise and l feel healthier and wiser for my choices. The decor is very uplifting, the ambience relaxing with a content vibe because you see regulars coming in, staff chatting while serving and cleaning and there's no evidence of rushing you out of the door. Look at average eat in times on the Google chart. I'm now thinking of making this my go to meet a girl friend space. It's very convenient to all transport links ,central line, bus station and Shepherds Bush...
Read moreIf i can give 0 star to this one lady working there, i would. So i ordered an iced matcha without milk, just pure tea. And she gave me an iced matcha latte later. So i told her sorry i ordered it without milk like i said before. Upon hearing this, she went full on complaining: what do you mean? We dont have it here, this is just unheard of (sorry iced matcha is available almost everywhere..?), i will do it this time but not next time blah blah blah Im sorry, lady, how complicated is this…? And why are you talking as if im not paying or im adding misery to your life? Lol
And let me be clear - it is ok to tell me you cannot do this as it’s not on the menu, but i don’t need a lecture from you telling me “it is unheard of” with a ridiculous voice, and something like “i’ll do this for you but not next time” sort of stuff - it’s the attitude that really...
