Horrible experience. Went for the views as they are lovely and ordered one cocktail each for a group of three. We spent roughly about an hour having our drink and chatting. Me and one friend left for the toilet and took the opportunity to take a pic with St Paul’s in the background. When we returned to the table we were informed they won’t serve my friend anymore as “she had too much to drink” which was very weird as she had ONE drink. We didn’t want to make a fuss so we said okay she will just have water then. Bouncers kept coming to the table to say she won’t be served for an unknown reason. Pretty rude so we wanted to leave asap but it started to downpour so we decided to stay until it stopped raining. As we had finished our first drink I went to the bar to order two beers for the two of us that they agreed to serve, only to be stopped by the bouncer to say you guys need to leave as your friend is too drunk. My friend was literally drinking water and having a chat with my other friend, all whilst sitting down and doing NOTHING out of the ordinary. I repeatedly asked this bouncer what did my friend specifically do to make them think she was so drunk and that it was so unacceptable to what he could not answer and said ‘it’s what I’ve been told’. I said to him whatever she is just having water and I’m clearly sober and will look after her if necessary, so I am ordering a beer for myself if I am allowed, to what he agreed. I ordered the two beers and when I sipped a couple of times the same man came to the table to say you guys need to leave again with no other explanation. I was tired of arguing so we finished our drink and left. My friend was left in tears as they made her think she was a drunk and behaving inappropriately which she clearly was not. On reflection, my impression is that we had a nice table right in front of the DJ but we were only three and had only consumed one drink in over an hour, so obviously not very profitable for the business. My other thought is that we were speaking in Spanish and that was not pleasant for the bouncers which I really hope it’s not as that would be xenophobic of them. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience and we were made to feel extremely unwelcome. It could have been a lovely evening but it was ruined by the staff’s attitude. I will never come back and will be sure of telling people not to come here. Plenty of lovely places in London with a view where they treat you with respect. I won’t mention the prices as many other people have commented so I recommend everyone...
Read moreIt was my birthday, and my partner took on the responsibility of finding a perfect venue to celebrate. He made a brilliant decision by selecting Madison, as he accurately perceived it to be the kind of place that would resonate with me, and his intuition proved to be absolutely correct. Now, let me take you on the journey to this remarkable venue. To reach it, you'll walk through a small smart shopping mall type space then hop into an ultra-modern, swanky lift , which takes you to the 6th floor. The lift opens onto the roof top , a partially open space, surrounded by the cityscape and jaw-dropping views of St. Paul's Cathedral. Absolutely breathtaking! A few steps to your right and you'll discover a closed area which offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere. So, whether you prefer to bask in the open space, taking in the stunning views or cozy up in the closed area for a more intimate experience, this venue offers the best of both worlds. Its a versatile space which caters to different preferences and moods. The food was downright amazing! The sheer creativity and skill showcased in the food was mind blowing. Every bite was a celebration of culinary excellence. From the first bite to the last, the flavours hit just right . It is evident that the chefs poured their heart and soul into every creation.
The bar / restaurant area team definitely know how to pamper their guests . They embody the essence of exceptional service. The venue was busy however they made us feel like we were their only guests. Throughout the evening, they regularly checked in to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction. These guys treated us like royalty. It felt like they intended to make my birthday special and they succeeded ! The team in all their thoughtfulness, took the time to write a happy birthday message on my dessert. Read moreWe booked a table for 6 for my best friend’s birthday and unfortunately our transport bailed on us. We called as soon as we knew we were going to be late and although it was past the 15min grace period, the woman on the phone said this was fine and she would make sure that they kept our table. We arrived 10 mins after the grace period had ended to find out none of this had been communicated and they’d given our table away (on her birthday!) - we were really upset and eventually they allowed us to have our brunch inside and said we could move outside afterwards. We were seated by the windows and it was absolutely roasting - too hot to have a sit down meal so we asked to move. One staff member literally rolled his eyes at us and was quite rude and this set the tone for the service. My fork also had food from a previous meal on it and I had to ask to swap. We were dripping with sweat after about 10 mins so we were eventually moved to another table. Two of us opted for the bottomless aperol and it was taking about 15-20 mins for it to be made after ordering (there was one person on the bar during a busy Sunday brunch). We asked if we could switch to mimosas/bubbles as it was taking way too long for the drinks to arrive and there was no communication between staff about this. The food arrived and it was gorgeous, eventually the staff got into a rhythm and the drinks were flowing which was great! One of us ordered a dessert which took a long time to arrive after we chased the order twice, and as soon as it did we were told brunch was over. They then told us we couldn’t sit outside after telling us that we could as a compromise for giving up our table and the poor communication from their end. Eventually they agreed to let us sit outside. The DJ and Sax player were incredible and the decor outside was gorgeous. The drinks are very pricey but worth it for the view, and the cocktails are great! Great food and drinks however the poor communication, slow service and some of the staff were quite rude which was a huge downside. All of us who visited used to or still do work in hospitality so we are very understanding in situations like this and have a lot of empathy for staff, but this wasn’t a good experience for us, especially on someone’s birthday and we couldn’t justify paying the £70 service charge added...
