Bottomless’ has become a popular word for the likes of boozy brunches but is an even better word when it is combined with pizza. Yes, that is correct – Gordon Ramsey Street Pizza in St Paul’s (ground floor of Bread Street Kitchen) offers bottomless pizza! It is like a dream come true! What’s even more exciting is the fact you nab this deal for just £15pp!
The quality of the pizza is outstanding. We had a sneaky peak at the chefs making the fresh pizza and cooking it in the wood fire oven – it smelt and looked incredible.
There are four choices, plus one daily special, to get your taste buds tingling. The pizzas are served in slices (large ones) for customers to tuck into and you can ask for your favourite one back whenever! The selection is:
Classic Margherita: Mozzarella, tomato, baby basil
Pepperoni: Spicy salami with mozzarella, tomato, chili flakes
Charred aubergine: Josper charred aubergine, toasted pine nuts, wild garlic pesto, tomato (vegan)
Corn & chorizo: Sweetcorn purée, chorizo, pulled chicken, mozzarella, spring onions, coriander
Our daily special was lamb, pomegranate, buttermilk garlic sauce. This was an inventive and delicious pizza which we thoroughly enjoyed but our favourite had to be the spicy pepperoni pizza. We kept managing to squeeze in more!
We also shared a huge Street Salad (£5) with lettuce, pomegranate and buttermilk garlic sauce which was a great accompaniment. We also couldn’t resist a dip (£1.20 each) so opted for all three: Buttermilk garlic sauce, pesto and nduja. Dipping the crusts in was the best.
We did not have any room for dessert although the Negroni ice Cream (£6) was tempting!
We paired up the pizza with a couple of cocktails from the four available on the menu. Both the Negroni and the Pompello Collins (gin based) (both £9) were strong and hit the spot. If you love your cocktails, you can order from the larger Bread Street Kitchen Menu, We loved the Peach Ball: Bacardi Oakheart, Antica Formula, Vanilla, Lime Peach Puree (£12).
Street Pizza is a relaxed space to chill out with friends with DJ’s playing from 11.30 until 3am (some nights of the week). £15pp is an absolute steal for bottomless pizza in St Paul’s and we encourage you to get involved. Make sure you...
Read moreI took my family on a trip to London in February 25, after seeing the Gordon Ramsay Pizza restaurant on beardmeetsfood's YouTube page I decided to take the family. They have a lovely menu of pizzas ranging from the normal margarita and peperoni to more specialist ones that will most likely change from time to time. The pizzas themselves where amazing no stodgy doughy bases designed to fill you up quickly, but instead beautifully light and crispy bases that help enhance the taste of the toppings. These are cooked in a pizza oven and are constantly produced fresh one by one. There is also a pac-man arcade game to entertain the kids. (also just as an aside there are children's activities at the larger restaurant where they take the kids to make there own pizzas while the adults eat in peace). My little boy decided he would rather chat with the staff and started chatting to Anjelica (not sure if that is spelt right) who was the pizza chef for the night. Instead of telling him she was too busy, she happily engaged with him talking about how she had met Gordon Ramsay and answering his questions on what she was doing with the pizzas. Even when I went over to make sure she was ok with him bothering her, she said that it was lovely for someone to take an interest and be so lovely at the same time. Anjelica even came over to us to make sure that my two kids where allowed an ice-cream which she wanted to give them because of how lovely they had been. The other two staff where dealing with Drinks (I unfortunately didnt get him name) and Troy who was serving the pizzas table by table. Both were also brilliant and really engaging and helpful, I always like to find out the staffs favourite pizzas as they obviously get to try the full range and not just the ones available on the night. So I would like to thank Troy and Anjelica for there kindness and attentiveness on my kids first trip to the capital, I have a feeling they will be talking about our trip to Gordon Ramsay's street pizza for a long...
Read moreWhat can I say I'd of loved Mr Ramsey to have tried are starter, main, dessert. My partner and I had a nights stay in London for her birthday. We had a meal at the Ramsey restaurant bread street. Starter my partner and I had the same starter scallops in the shell. Consisted of two small scallops one in each shell scallops had No sear what so ever that's four anemic scallops. The ginger .apple. and a mayonnaise sauce was very nice and fresh massive shame the scallops where No good.. My partner had for main chicken cesar salad.. my partner said it was ok. Not enough dressing far to much lettuce. I had the lamb rogan Josh for my main very nice delicious spice from the sauce .the rice I could say was one of the best I've ever had. The lamb was very nice But far to much sauce not enough lamb could of done with three or four more chunks of lamb far to little portion of rice. This came with one small roti could have done with two or three to mop up all the sauce left over.. My partner had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert to which she said was amazing best she has ever had.I had the cheese board consisting of a little peice of blue cheese a little peice of goats cheese and little peice of a hard cheese with this three small crackers which had a soft texture tasted stale to me & green grapes which where not fresh and very soft. My partner and I had planned to eat in the pod in the restaurant but where told it was booked up. When we arrived the pod was free and the young ladie at reception pointed this out.her words after looking at her computer. I see you had ordered the pod to which my partner said we were told pod fully booked.ladie said But it is free follow me. We followed ladie to which see said hear is your table .OK very strange I know. My partner said leave it dont make fuss we will just stay at are table.. Not the best experience and wasn't cheap over £150 spent.. would not recommend far better places and food for that money....
