LEON Wimbledon — Restaurant in London

Really wanted to have the LEON experience. Read the books, tried the recipes, heard Henry Dimbelby on the radio, read about him in the press. I had a great cup of coffee here at the Wimbledon Station outlet, but what a disappointing venue. I recognise that there's a staff shortages but they need enough staff to keep the place was clean. I've not got pictures of the toilets, but the tables and floor really messy. 11:30 ish on a Wednesday and have a look. I don't get the connection between what I've read and the actual experience. First change the tables so they are easy to clean, second get more staff, third display your food hygiene certificate (not visible on my visit)! If you are vegan or just wanting to try out vegan options Leon makes some yummy options that are at a reasonable price. I have to admit the food is surprisingly good. I have revisited this branch every few days because it makes me feel mmmmmmm.

Wow! Update: Awful service by an unfriendly, uninterested staff member. She was appalling in service, no smile, no emotion - just rude. She was more interested in her social life and was on her phone all the time until she had to hand over food. She interrupted customers in mid conversation and was not helpful. Funny how people behave when there is no management around. LEON please realise that these experiences can be enough to make customers never come back. Lovely interior but it's a weird service if you eat in. Didn't realise you have to linger around until your order is called out, I half expected it to be brought to a table. I ordered a love burger and oat latte, first thing after 15-20 mins of waiting I noticed a latte and a burger on a tray and asked if it was my food as my order was not called out whereas other people's orders were called out to them despite them ordering after me!! My burger was cold, cheese was not melting however the coffee was made nicely. I was so hungry that I ate the burger and didn't want to wait another 10 mins for another.
