I first came here when I was in primary school. My mum ordered me the beef brisket and ever since, i fell madly in love with their beef brisket. A short while after however, I had to move countries. No more Pho. As they say, you never realize the value of something until you’ve lost it. As I grew older and wiser, I realized that this restaurant was one of a kind. I never found the taste of that beef brisket in any other restaurant, not even in two other countries. I was heartbroken and longed to taste that beef brisket again… Until a few years later. It was decided that I was moving back to London. HUZZAH! My heart sang and my soul was calling out to Pho like it was a long lost lover. It was four years later, so while my tongue had forgotten the exact taste, my heart had never. It still remembered the way my being had lit up with joy at the taste of the beef brisket. Fast forward, and I’m sitting in that same restaurant I’d been at four years ago. The cozy interior which was still the same hit me in the feels with nostalgia. The staff are as friendly as ever although I don’t remember anyone from four years ago. I order the beef brisket… at last. For four years I had been waiting, longing, wishing for that moment to come, and it had finally arrived. I take my first mouthful of the beef brisket, and I almost burst into happy tears. The taste hadn’t changed, it was as delicious and fresh as ever. The only thing stopping me from devouring it was its temperature, a sign that it was indeed straight from the kitchen. I smile to my mum who sits across from me and I don’t think I’d ever been so happy. It was my destiny to meet and fall in love with the beef brisket since the moment of my birth. I’m writing this a few years later now, and it hasn’t been long since I reunited with Pho’s beef brisket. I went to pho quite a few times after that, each time ordering the beef brisket. And today, I ate the beef brisket for the last time in what I think will be a long time. It’s been decided that I am moving to another country yet again. I left the restaurant with a bittersweet smile, sad that I may not be able to taste that beef brisket again for a long, long time… but also grateful for its existence. Thank you beef brisket. I love you. And thank you Pho and all the staff. For taking the beef brisket order, making the beef brisket, and carrying the beef brisket to me. My flight is in a couple days, but I vow to return here no matter what it takes. It may be a long quest, but I’m determined to crawl back here even if I lose both my legs in the process, and I will overcome any obstacle in my way to reunite with my beef brisket.
Thank you and farewell.
(TLDR; their beef brisket is very good, so good that if I was too broke to pay for it with money, I would sell my...
Read moreThis place deserves 5 stars very easily due to the food and the fact MAZ who attended to our table was excellent!
Firstly, on Friday night the place was very busy but we managed to find a table near the back door entrance. This was only annoying when smokers went into the garden to smoke, and their fumes would come in when takeaway drivers would open the door to collect their food. Please do something about this!
Secondly, the customer service was excellent, Maz, particularly since they took our order and looked after us throughout our night.
Thirdly, the food is well worth the price you pay! The chicken wing starter was not salty or too crispy; it was just perfect. The sauce it comes with is well worth dipping into with each bite.
The mains could not be finished but were taken away. The beef and chicken Noodles were fantastic. The meat wasn't tough; it wasn't dry either. In my opinion, adding chilli sauce made the dish more to my liking. It wasn't the spice; the oil has that something.
Overall, this is a place to visit and try out the...
Read moreHad the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant yesterday (sun/27/09). Went for dinner & the restaurant was fairly empty. We waited an hour for our food. When the food came, my friends food was cold & salty. After we sent back my friends food, I found a hair in my food. Both of us also found fibres in the food. We pointed out the hair to the waiter & they offered for me to have something else. I was so hungry by this point I agreed & ordered a vegan curry. I take a mouthful & find chicken in my mouth. Chicken in a vegan curry? That could’ve made me so sick. I spat it out into a napkin & told the waiter. I asked to speak to the manager, but the manager never came over. So we got up to find out what was going on. I even asked if this was a prank & if there were hidden cameras because I couldn’t believe how bad the whole experience was. The manager said he would email me that evening, but I haven’t received anything. It was quite a troubling experience. We left hungrier than...
