This place makes some of the best food in London. Honestly.
We're two months into a one year stay, and love food (you can take the girl out of New York City...hah!), and I come here any chance I can get. Everything I've tried from this place has been superb: the falafel, grilled halloumi, kofta, hummus, baba ganoush, tabbuleh. It's all so fresh and perfectly seasoned. I was sold when I saw them preparing the falafel mixture. Indeed, you'll find nothing frozen here. Stuff that's this good is made with love. A stand-out to me is the toum (garlic sauce). I've had this at many places that prepare it with the consistency of salad dressing. No. This is stuff that needs to be thick. And The Levant Kitchen makes it perfectly.
We all love this place, including my kids. Just today, I asked my daughter what she wanted for lunch, and she asked for "the kofta place" (which is The Levant Kitchen). Their chips are great (in part because they aren't shy about giving you some toum and harissa to dip them in), so I ordered some for us to share. When a three year old doesn't only eat the chips, you know this food is good. Even my baby boy very happily eats their hummus, baba ganoush, and Kosta.
The service here is so kind. This spot gets really slammed at lunch, but they treat you like family and never rush you out. I'm just sad they aren't open on...
Read moreDon’t typically write reviews but this place is really special.. I eat very clean and healthy but in London it is almost impossible to find high quality vegetable meals/ lunches. Levent kitchen makes a variety of home made mezze that is SO DELICIOUS AND FRESH. I used to live in Turkey where you’re basically eating vegetables straight from the village. This is the closest thing I’ve gotten to such freshness living in London. The price is very fair and the falafel is also very fresh. There is some variety in the mezze each day so I think it changes slightly depending on the week. Get the salad box you won’t regret it!! The guys behind the counter are also very sweet and informative. 10 stars for Levent...
Read moreGreat place! The food is really yummy and you get a big portion for like £5-6 and there is a good selection of dishes. I had the Lebanese chicken shih box (eating in so served on a plate) and loved it. Also, their take away boxes are paper and they have bamboo cutlery which I really liked as I hate single use plastic. The staff is really friendly and super fast with serving loads of people. They also have some seats and tables which are usually empty as most people go there for take away, which was good for me as I could sit down. This place used to be a Vietnamese baguette place before but I much...
