Used to be way better just before the pandemic.

I used to love coming here for a Sunday breakfast but today was the last straw.

The last few times I came I realised how dirty the tables and the eating area are, especially at the back where now there is a “garden area”.

Today I ordered the breakfast as usual and although the place wasn’t busy at all (2 people sitting at the table in front of the place) I had to serve myself by coming to pick up the food, drinks and coffees through the little window at the back of the bar facing the garden area where I was sitting.

I appreciate in busy times the customer may need to get up to get his/her food, coffees, drinks or anything they may need but dirty tables and no table service at a place which serves food is a no no… I ordered a orange juice a coke with my breakfast and I’m about to finish the breakfast and neither the coke or orange juice was ready “for me to collect” even though I’m eating in… If they carry on like this soon they’ll be closed as I mentioned above I have been coming here for years and only lately I noticed how empty the place is compared to what it used to be and there is a reason for that… don’t believe come and try it...

Club sandwich was okay and it would have been an enjoyable experience if it wasn't for the rather rude waitress.

When our order arrived she placed a salad on our table, although we didn't order it. She came back two minutes later and scolded us for not telling her, she was at fault, not us.

Seemed in a major rush to close the cafe up before 4pm, at 3:50 she rushed to our table to collect our plates while we were still eating.

She placed her hand on top of my drink can and to check if there was any left. It was completely unnecessary to do this, my drink was half full but I didn't want to drink out of it afterwards.

To top things off, as we left we said 'Thank You', she rolled her eyes sarcastically and said nothing.

Will not be returning and that waitress should not be dealing with the...

Very disappointed in the breakfast portion, please help me here. How do you justify paying almost £10 for a veggie breakfast consisting of one slice of toasted brown bread, half a small tomato,One small mushroom sliced, two leaves of spinach, two veg sausages, baked beans. The prices here are just over the top. I will not be returning and will spread the word. There was nowhere else on the day that came to mind. The lady at the counter was so unfriendly with her fake smile. Make matters worse we were given two half cups of tea, I had to ask for hot water to top up. AVOID...

I usually don't have nothing negative to say when it comes to La Louche as the dark haired lady is just so lovely. Always got a smile on her face. But I couldn't let this pass... you mean to say that the chef saw that the bun was burnt and still served it to me. At £4.40 I could of bought a loaf and the filling and have change left over. So if I pay for something I expect it to be of some some of standard but this fell well short.

My favourite place for an avocado, goats cheese, mayo ciabatta . I have no clue what the chef does to it, but it’s the best and I have tried many sandwiches. I would say close to an Italian expectation. All the staff is great overall, always lovely and polite, hygiene is great. Cleanliness too. The size of the coffee shop is just great and the option to sot outside on a sunny day.
