A lovely find while walking with my soon to give birth daughter who had sweet cravings. Great ambience and very patient staff who waited for us to make our selection from the mouth watering cakes... buy only after my daughter took an essential pit stop. She's s very fussy and she came out with a smile on her face l assume the facilities passed muster. We chose a slice of Apple Crumble tart and a very generous sized almond filled croissant. Apart from cakes there was of course beautiful fresh crusty loaves including my favourite sourdough and there is an interesting selection of deli goods on shelves opposite the main counter. I had hoped my daughter would sit down for brunch because the menu looked very inviting. My new granddaughter had other ideas though so we had to beat a hasty retreat home. A slap up sit down meal will have to wait till another occasion. I actually didn't get to eat my croissant till 7 that evening. My name is Osman and I’m a daily customer of yours. Today I experienced the most appalling and degrading customer service from your barista I’ve ever had in my life. I walked in asking very politely “is your card machine not working today ?” His reply “ well as you can clearly read on the sign, if you can read it, says it’s only cash only , and this means the machine isn’t working, and the signs are here and here (he pointed), so in my opinion I don’t think it’s working, what do you think?!” He then rolled his eyes and whispered some condescending remark to your female colleague. First of all I would like to say that the service and staff, in particular the manager and are absolutely amazing however, I am absolutely appalled at the major price increase of the food and drink. I come here to get my morning coffee at least 5 days a week and live locally. Much to my disappointment unfortunately I will have to decrease the amount of times I come here to get my coffee as I simply cannot afford that price increase and will be thinking twice about how much I purchase here. It is such a shame because it is a no way a reflection of how friendly the staff are here. I often bring friends and family to eat and drink and buy the lovely fresh bread that will not longer be doing or at least very seldomly.
