🌍 Places to Visit in London

Afraid to say this was a place I wish I didn’t visit. It had been on my list for a while, I’ve been ticking off rooftop bars in London over the years. In the end, we were kindly accommodated without a booking on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy. It was loud. There was an unexpected live singer who, I’m sure is very talented but it felt overbearing at 1pm, and somehow out of sync with the vibe of the bar itself. My mum and I could barely have a conversation it was that bad. Table wasn’t wiped clean when we were seated and it visibly needed it. Menu felt cheap and plasticky, but the prices are of a real quality, high end bar. Happy to pay £19 for a cocktail in a bar that matches that standard, but unfortunately this place felt quite cheap all round. I didn’t have a cocktail in the end. My mum went for a mocktail for £12, she did say it was nice. I had a £5 cappuccino (Illy brand) which was so hot I couldn’t pick up the cup for ages. A cup of tea would have been £6 (!). Fake plastic plants that were dusty. Nice views but honestly, do your research and you’ll find plenty other rooftop bars where the views, prices and quality all align. Sadly this isn’t the case here. On the way out we used the bathroom and, presumably because people were confused by their calling it "powder room" on their proper signage, someone has printed out a "toilet" sign on A4 paper and stuck it on the wall like a piece of kids art with sticky tape - again, I just feel it's a sort of "low end / cutting corners" kind of vibe. Lifts did take a while, as other reviews have noted.

Visited this venue on Saturday evening. The booking checker / security guard at the front desk needs more training. Don’t invite and send people through and then change your mind and and then lie saying you never Invited us to go through and up to the bar. Poor Management, escalated the situation rather than listen and or apologies. The bar / server staff were nice and friendly. Drinks took a bit of time but expected for cocktails. Food - we ordered snacks / lite bites and it was ok. Price - yeah a bit pricy but you are paying for views and the location being in Leicester Square. Views were ok but the outside section is small and crammed with tables and smokers. If you want to take pics you are invading peoples personal space. Toilets were clean and tidy. Lifts - one is small. One larger. Gets a bit busy if a lot of people are leaving but you can always wait although that area gets crowded. Conclusion: Tourist spot, expensive for what it is. Minimum spend when booking. Good views outside but it’s a very small space and crowded.

The view is simply GORGEOUS, everything else is awful. The food is not very good. We ordered a medium-rare rib eye but it was literally fully cooked.. still tasted great, just not what we ordered. The gnocchi was awful, but I absolutely hated the taste. The only thing that tasted good was the baked Camembert (hard to go wrong with cheese though). The wine list was extremely short. For a rooftop bar/restaurant you’d expect a lot more. The service was awful. They made us wait 10 minutes for our table even though we booked it, and once we hit the 1.5 hour limit we were constantly asked to move (which would’ve been totally understandable if it was reserved for someone else), but the table next to us was EMPTY the whole time. Why ask us to move at 10pm if you don’t have any more bookings? Would’ve given it a 1 star, but gave it a 3 for the view, the nibbles and that one sweet bartender (or back back staff member).

Literally the worst bar I have ever been to. Do NOT go. Some points: 1. Booked 2 weeks in advance and specially requested a table by the window. They gave us a table furthest away from the window and declined to move us even though they accommodated 2 walk-ins for the window?? 2. Staff was so rude. Asked for bill x4 times and they brought it 20 mins later. Also had an important phone call and the waiter straight up just told me to order when on the phone ? 3. Had two drinks and when the bill came they added 3 more on top of random food we didn’t order. And then tried to argue that it was correct???? 4. When leaving, the elevator is already quite small so we were shocked that they stuffed us in the lift with a smelly cart (see attached). Like what? 5. Drinks were good but the orange garnish in the old fashioned was almost white/greenish and looked like mould - not impressed at all!!! Would never come back.

Absolutely terrible. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This Is not what was advertised what so ever on the menu. Overpriced dry burger which was meant to include bacon and halloumi cheese and colsalw came like this. ( had better in McDonald's) and there was an option for 4 desserts and was told only the ameretto cheesecake was available but turns out it was just a vanilla cheesecake. Then that came out FROZEN COMPLETELY. They took it out the back we waited 40mins for it to stand to defrost a bit before bringing them back out. Nothing what you would expect from a rooftop bar. With only 90mins to eat this and have bottomless drink in which the rose wine and processco was the cheapest going too. The customer service was awful also what a bloody rip off.
